The Neighborhood:
We are located in a quint little subdivision. Each cabin has a large partial of land and good distance between each other. There is a cute pond at the entrance you can enjoy.
Shopping is right down the road! From the Five Oaks Mall and the Scrapbook Super Store (the largest in the USA), to the Christmas Store, to Goats on the Roof and the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts loop, you won’t be lacking for a varied shopping experience.
Dining choices are varied from the chains of Red Lobster and Olive Garden to the local Applewood Farmhouse (featuring apple dishes and fritters) and the Old Mill which has delicious corn chowder with corn fritters. And the newest tourist destination is The Island, a walking plaza with amusements, great shopping and restaurants like Margaritaville and Paula Deens. At the Dixie Stampede – a Dollywood production- you receive a feast plus a show! And Dolly's new Pirates show is fun and exciting too.
The main attraction is the Great Smoky Mountain National Park with its numerous and varied outdoor activities. From short, ranger-led family hikes to long, strenuous day hikes, the park has something for everyone. The Cades Cove area offers horseback riding and a sightseeing loop which is open only to bicycles (which can be rented) on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. The view was great from the porch. The record player didn’t work because the needle was missing. I did contact the host. They responded quickly, but had to order a needle. The toaster wouldn’t really toast the bread, but other than those things the place is as described and a great little getaway.

Everything was very clean and cozy. We had no trouble finding the cabin and we had absolutely breathtaking views of the mountains. Our hosts checked in with us daily to make sure everything was perfect. We really enjoyed the hot tub on the cool nights also. The cabin was furnished with everything we could possibly have needed other than food. Very comfortable bed and couch with a large TV that would face either the couch or the bed. The washer and dryer made our life much easier and the huge heart shaped tub in addition to the walk-in shower, was also a plus! All in all, this was the most relaxing vacation my husband and I have ever had. Thank you from us both!!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others. Very clean, quiet and most everything you would need is provided. The view of the mountains were breath taking. The hot tub and fireplace were a nice touch on chilly evenings. The BOGO tickets to some of the attractions were appreciated. The host was great, easy to reach and quick with responses. I couldn’t however give it a full five stars. I would have given it a four and a half if I could because all the blinds in the main living space where the jacuzzi tub and bed are, were about destroyed and had large chunks out of them making it impossible to have any privacy and made the tub unusable. I notified the host who gave me an explanation but in our opinion, they should have been replaced before another person ever rented it. Those plastic blinds aren’t expensive and could have been put up in a day. In our opinion, that was inexcusable and would probably have made the difference in star ratings. Another small detail was that there was no battery in the ceiling fan remote that it was advertised as having. Just needs to have a little TLC in order to make it a full five star and to compete with a lot of other cabin rentals in the area.

Slightly disappointed as the cabin didnt live up to the pictures posted. Hot tub pillows had mold on them, there was no gas grill as pictured, indoor jacuzzi was unable to be used as hot water didnt work, blinds were broken, just needs a definite update overall. Bed wasncomfortable, cabin was clean, we overall enjoyed our stay, but would have booked elsewhere for this price had we known the true condition of the amenities of the cabin.
