About this house rental
Cottage ideally located on the banks of the TARN, which can accommodate 6 people.
The house is an old stable, completely renovated with a terrace at the water's edge allowing you to relax and admire the sunset. Access to the banks of the Tarn is safe for children. You have at your disposal a second terrace with a barbecue.
On the first floor are:
- a living room of 45 m2 with fully equipped open kitchen, central island, dining room, living room, TV, opening onto the two terraces,
- a storeroom and a toilet.
On the first floor (this floor is air-conditioned), you have:
- a bedroom with a double bed of 140*190, overlooking the Tarn,
- a bedroom with a double bed of 140*190,
- a bedroom with two single beds of 90*190,
- a bathroom with two sinks, a shower and a toilet.
Outside, you can:
- park two vehicles in the parking lot secured by a gate,
- have a room allowing you to store bicycles or other items.
You will enjoy the Tarn thanks to the 4-seater boat at your disposal as well as a 2/3-seater canoe with all the safety equipment.
Guests can fish from the terrace of the gîte.
You can also swim nearby, in a swimming area in a supervised natural area, in Aiguelèze (5 kms). Paddle, pedal boat and boat rentals without a license are also possible. A golf course is also available.
The accommodations are 10 minutes from Albi, whose episcopal city is classified as an UNESCO World Heritage Site and 40 minutes from Toulouse.
In the department, you can also visit the Tarn bastides such as Cordes-sur-ciel, the favorite village of the French, Castelnau-de-Montmiral or Puycelsi.
You will have the opportunity to discover the vineyards of the Tarn.
A deposit of 500 euros will be required upon arrival (by cheque or cash or bank transfer).
The cleaning fee is optional and costs 90 euros, payable upon entry into the accommodation.
Bed linen and towels can be rented on request, payable upon check-in.

Beautiful riverfront location. Well furnished and equipped with everything needed for a self sufficient holiday. Very peaceful surroundings on the edge of a small village. Picturesque and relaxing.

This is a stunning property with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The reality is even more impressive than the photos!
Marssac sur Tarn is only a short walk away with three small supermarkets, a bar-restuarant, an excellent butcher, bakeries, and a wine merchant among others. So, if you're looking for a quiet retreat in a welcoming small town, you don't actually need to venture very far at all.
The owners were also extremely helpful and friendly. We forgot to bring bed linen but they were able to provide this. They even gave us a lift from the train station on arrival!
The gite and owners were both perfect. I would suggest though that the 500 euro damage deposit payable on arrival is made clearer in the advert. Whilst this is a commonplace practice in France, it may not be expected by overseas visitors. It didn't present an issue for us and was refunded very promptly at the end of our stay, but it could present an issue for someone who is not expecting it and doesn't have banking on their smartphone for instance.
