About this cottage rental
Quiet tropical cottage with river access, wildlife, serenity, in Bonita Springs near US-41 giving you convenient access to area Spring Training Center and Coconut Mall as well as Miramar Outlets. It is in the center of some of the best beaches, Fort Myers Beach, Barefoot Beach, Bonita Beach, Lovers Key State Park and Golfing. We also have bikes, kayaks and beach equipment.Watch local wildlife the private dock. A pool screened in, has a table and chairs area, and fabulous river view. In a quiet neighborhood on a cul-de-sac, walking distance to grocery stores, short drive to beautiful beaches and golf courses, or grab the bus just 1/2 a block away to Lover’s Key State Park.
Master bedroom with a queen size bed and a 2nd bedroom with twin beds. Maximum of 2 guests. No overnight guests.There is access to the backyard and dock/river.

I can’t say enough great things about my stay here. The property owners greeted me when I arrived. I even sat with them by the water to visit and have wine. My son and I took the kayaks for a long paddle and I even got a bike ride in. This property is close to a Publix and Fresh Market. The inside was fully stocked with everything you would need and the fluffiest towels!! The property not only had kayaks and bikes (4 of them), but a grill and everything to go with it, folding chairs and umbrellas to take to the beach, and a washer and dryer. So much that we could have used but didn’t. I am actually sad to leave this place. I enjoyed being here and I know you will, too.

We are avid vacation travelers, and this was our first time using VRBO. We were absolutely blown away by the beauty of the property. Don and Karen’s paradise sits right on the Imperial River and is filled with tropical plants, charming yard art, and more than 68 bird feeders. Their birds and gardens made us feel like we had stepped into paradise.We spent every chance we could outside their space while enjoying the serenity and magic of nature. Honestly, I could sit on their property forever.They generously provided free use of kayaks, bikes, and beach equipment, which made a huge difference for us since we often fly in without gear. Kayaking was my favorite part of the trip. We saw turtles, countless birds, manatees, and even a dolphin on the Imperial River.The cottage itself was adorable, comfortable, and the perfect size. The kitchen was well stocked with what we needed to cook meals during our stay, which is important to us when traveling.On our last night, we spent time talking with Don and Karen and experienced their warmth and kindness firsthand. They are wonderful people who genuinely care about nature and their guests.The parking was next to the cottage, off the street, and very convenient. The neighborhood felt extremely safe, and we were completely comfortable the entire time.This is our favorite place we’ve stayed, and we absolutely plan to return. travelers: stop looking. This is the place.(Just don’t book our dates when we come back. LOL)

The property was quiet and peacefull with river access and plenty of bikes and kayaks for adventuring. The apartment, which is attached to the main house has its own entrance and felt secure and was simple to access for those that can climb stairs (not for wheelchairs or those with mobility issues).
While the pool and hot tub were in an enclosed linai, the pool was murky and seemed like it might not have the right chemical balance. For this reason we did not want to risk a bacterial issue and made the decision not to swim. Not having a safe pool definitely lowered the value of this property. The inside of the property was also quite dusty, which was surprising given the high $250 cleaning fee. We really enjoyed our kayak adventure, but the access to the river is quite rustic and we got very muddy trying to get in and out.
Overall a pleasant stay and a calm and serene environment.
