About this cabin rental
Unique forested acreage located just 1/2 km from white sand beaches. Be greeted by rustic details AND modern luxuries, cedar walls, pine ceilings, spacious bedrooms, open concept with unique red brick fireplace that is the heart of the cabin. Enjoy our private walking trails, 500 sq ft screen room, fast fiber optic internet/WIFI, pool table AND Games Room! Guests LOVE the location, spaciousness, well equipped kitchen & thoughtful touches. Located conveniently in the heart of Victoria Beach with EXCELLENT ACCESS to the lake ALL YEAR ROUND. The lake, seasonal activities & most amenities are within 500 m - 2 km of the cabin. Guests enjoy exclusive access to Greenglade’s private wooded trails that link into the greater Victoria Beach trail system for hiking, biking & dog walking, and close proximity to groomed sled and X-Country ski trails in winter. Lots of space to spread out, with kids enjoying the rec room downstairs while adults relax upstairs. Games Room with pool table & Smart TV for sports, vintage board games, DVDs & books for all ages.
Huge 500 sq ft screen room can't be beat for mosquito free enjoyment of the outdoors! Central Air Conditioning & Heating with fully functional WOOD BURNING FIREPLACE for cozy winter nights. Outdoor fire pit seats 10 to gaze at a million stars (open May 1 to October 31 ONLY). *INITIAL SUPPLIES ONLY of Keurig coffee pods, sugar, powdered creamer, teas, toilet paper, paper towels, tin foil, saran wrap, BBQ lighter, dishwashing soap, dishwasher detergent tabs, laundry tabs. Guests are responsible to replenish once initial supplies run out.
*INITIAL supply of FIREWOOD onsite (a generous 12 cubic feet). Refills $35 paid in cash on site.
*Propane BBQ with complementary propane available May 1 to October 31 ONLY --closed in winter.
*Outdoor fire pit with solar lighting & seating for 10 available May 1 to October 31 ONLY -- closed in winter (ask host about fire permits which are mandatory to use the fire pit)
*Four adult bicycles (not new or fancy, some single gear, but great for navigating our small peninsula). Bring your own bike if you prefer something better. There is room to store bikes in the bike rack or veranda. USE BIKES AT YOUR OWN RISK. YOU MUST BRING AND USE YOUR OWN SAFETY HELMUTS. Helmets are mandatory for children under 18 in the RM of Victoria Beach.
*Some portable beach chairs, beach toys, a few pool noodles (subject to change as sometimes they walk away unfortunately!)
SEASONAL ACTIVITIES & AMENITIES
**FALL/WINTER/SPRING INFO** Victoria Beach is a haven for WINTER SPORTS ENTHUSIASTS. Miles & miles of groomed snowmobile trails are accessible directly off the cabin's driveway, no trailering required! You can’t beat the sledding and ice fishing access on Lake Winnipeg with nearest 1 km from the cabin. Groomed X-Country ski trails are only ½ km down the road with parking at the trail head. The outdoor skating rink and toboggan hill are there as well. Local weekend curling bonspiels (ask us & plan ahead), fishing derbies and the annual New Year’s Eve festival with tobogganing, outdoor campfires, music & fireworks. Come home to the warmth of a rustic cedar cabin with all of the modern conveniences of home, fully stocked kitchen and cozy wood burning fireplace. Plenty of parking in the yard accommodates sled & ice fishing trailers with exterior electrical for plugging in block heaters. Owner keeps yard & driveway cleared so you need not worry about being snowed in. Groceries, beer vendor, liquor & gas, restaurants are 5 – 10 min drive from cabin. **SUMMER INFO** Enjoy hiking & biking on a network of community trails accessible from our property, plus swimming, boating, sailing, golf (2 courses!), tennis, pickle ball, baseball diamond, Saturday farmer's markets, restaurants, country grocers, bakery and more within 500m to 1 km of the cabin! If you are bringing a BOAT OR WATERCRAFT, Greenglade is THE PLACE to be with loads of parking space for trailers, 5 - 10 min access to several boat launches and gas.
Our cabin is NOT in the Vehicle Restricted Area (VRA) which means you drive right up to the cabin door -- no need to park in a centralized lot and NO LONG HIKES to check in with luggage, kids & gear! If you are thinking the VRA is THE place to be consider these FUN FACTs: Our cabin is as close to the VB Village Green as over half of the cottages in the VRA. It has privacy (you won't hear your neighbor rifling in their cutlery drawer!), is close to fabulous beaches (some are park & walk!) AND you have the freedom to easily drive to nearby ice cream, restaurants, grocery stores and gift shops that aren't as accessible from within the VRA. In addition, we in turn facilitate your access to the wonderful amenities within the VRA such as the Village Green, bakery and Moonlight Inn restaurant by treating our guests to a COMPLEMENTARY PARKING PASS for the Victoria Beach parking lot (July/Aug) so you can enjoy those too!

The hosts were welcoming and very propt and pleasant when asked about anything. The cabin was cozy and perfect for what we were looking for. We really enjoyed the fireplace inside. So much that we didnt use the outdoor firepit.Thank you very much Gaye and Brian

Our hosts were amazing. Very kind and welcoming. They were quick to respond to any of my questions or requests. The cabin is beautiful and had everything we needed.There was lots of room for our family. Great place for kids (and our dogs). There was also a nice surprise of a welcome goody basket filled with treats. The cabin was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The property is great with areas to explore and a beautiful firepit area for fun family evenings around the fire. And there are also so many activities close by in Victoria Beach to enjoy. We loved this experience so much we are hoping to come back in the summer.
