About this cabin rental
The Get-Away is nestled in a quiet cabin community right on the river with easy access to the two lane road. Enjoy pristine river views from the back deck, private river access and campfire right on the river bank.
The cabin is two bedroom one bath and sleeps 5 in two full beds and one twin. Perfect for couples or small family.
Kitchen is stocked with all the appliances and utensils you would have in the comfort of your home. Towels and linens provided.
We are pet friendly (dogs only, fee required).

-James W. Curry Library and Park, 2 mile drive
-Historic Helvetia, home of the Hutte Restaurant, 5 mile drive
-Pickens, host of the Maple Syrup Festival, 10 mile drive
-West Virginia Wildlife Center, 12 mile drive
-The town of Buckhannon where you will find grocery, pharmacy, restaurants, cinema, bowling, etc., 23 mile drive
-State parks around the area include Kumbrabow, Holly River, Audra and Stonewall Resort
-Snowshoe Mountain Ski Resort, (ski and snow tube) 47 mile drive
-Canaan Valley Ski Resort, (ski and snow tube) 74 mile drive
*4-wheel drive or AWD vehicle necessary in the wintertime due to snow*

My friends and I had such an enjoyable time here. We loved the antique touches, the river was perfect!! You cannot beat the back deck ... lovely. Cheryl was great at communicating and check in/check out was an absolute breeze. We would definitely stay here again.

The location is amazing. We wanted to unplug from our busy life and get back to nature. This is the place to do it! Although sleep wasn't easy due to the beds. My husband and i are over 6ft tall and the largest bed was a full that we barely for in. In top of the size, they are very uncomfortable. The pull out couch was more comfortable. The sleeping arrangements are literally the only complaint we have. But not sleeping on vacation, makes it impossible to go back. Which makes us sad bc we gave this property 4 visits in 4 years, hoping the bed issues got resolved. Unfortunately, putting a mattress topper on a problem bed, doesn't fix it. So this was the last year we are going to be choosing this cabin for our annual family vacation.
