Lake Sutherland Retreat - is the place to find to true rest & relaxation! Described by a friend as 'just like being on Lake Como in Italy' with Storm King rising from the waters edge 2000' above the lake on the South side and the snow level dropping to Lake level. The Lake house is located on the Sunny side of Lake Sutherland for year round getaway's. Enjoy fishing from the dock for Kokanee, Cut Throat and Rainbow trout. Kayaking is very relaxing way to enjoy your morning by cruising the lake when everyone is still waking up. Shared dock is available for boating, jet skis and any other water sports you can think of doing. Like to hike? Check out the Spruce Railroad trail on the back side of Lake Crescent or Marymere Falls on this side by Lake Crescent Lodge. Or head up to Sol-Duc Hot Springs just past Lake Crescent and get into the Olympic National Park and hike forever. The Hoh Rain Forrest is about an hour and half away and coastal beaches for day hikes.

The cabin was just as described, very lovely and well-stocked with everything needed, especially in the kitchen. Nice cookware. Location was gorgeous and so peaceful. We didn’t use the hot tub, as it needed a little cleaning, but overall, we had a lovely stay.

2 adults and 1 kiddo (1st grader) stayed for 5 nights next to beautiful Lake Sutherland. Hot tub was wonderful. Barbecue was great to use. LOVED paddling with the kayaks and paddleboards! (Bring your own life vests) for a cool paddle try paddling west all the way to the creek at the end of the lake, you can paddle down aways in kayaks. The house was great for family of 3, appreciated small plates and kids DVDs. Wifi worked without any issues. Port Angeles was 20 min drive for any grocery needs. Kitchen well stocked. VERY much appreciated laundry! Between lake and hot tub went through lots of sets of swimsuits and clothes. Did not need to communicate with managers at all. Check in process was straight forward. Would return again if we were on the area for summertime. Thabks for a great stay!

Everything was exactly as adverstised and was absolutely fantastic! Traveled with my parents (70/65) and two sons (9/7). It was a perfect jumping off point for our Olympic National Park 70th Birthday extravaganza. It was much closer to both Granny's Cafe and The Lodge than I had anticipated which ended up being a great thing. The spa was a perfect way to relax before dinner and the patio was perfect for our morning coffee. Thank you for the great stay!

We had a lovely time at Lake Sutherland Retreat. We lucked out with full sun everyday and the views from the back deck were outstanding. The house was very clean. The only thing that was a negative was the neighbors motion lights at night. They would come on anytime we moved on the deck at night.

My sister and I had a great time staying here for about a week. The place was just like the pictures and the lake was gorgeous! Clean home and setup. The checkin process was a bit confusing as there didn’t seem to be clear instructions. It felt like we had to piece parts together. The checkout expectations were fine but not clearly stated all together in their provided book for the property. We still managed to do fine but more clear details would have helped. We’d still come back!

From start to finish this was a top-notch vacationing experience! The pictures are just like what you'll get when you visit this property. The house is beautifully maintained, right on the sunny side of the lake, fully stocked with everything you'll need for a pleasant stay, and the fish were biting right off the dock for the grandkids to enjoy. It was a vacation that we will cherish for years to come and we'll certainly be back! Working with the owners was super easy and professional, as well. 10 out of 10 recommend!

House was beautiful and clean, very well stocked. Views were amazing! Two of my kids slept on the couches and thought they were very comfy. Kids absolutely loved diving off the little floating dock and loved the hot tub. My 10 year old cried when it was time to go because she wanted to stay forever! We stayed in July and the weather was sunny and perfect. Coming from the Midwest, the lack of mosquitoes was amazing. The only minor thing we didn’t like was how loud the bed with the wooden posts is when someone gets out of it. It startled me awake every time my husband got up to go to the bathroom but in no way did it ruin our stay. We would absolutely love to come back to stay here someday!

Amazing place on the OP! Perfect location for touring the Park, and avoiding the bustle of Lake Crescent. 3 night stay but would have added more if we had known. Well quipped for cooking meals and then enjoying a lakeside fire with friends. Very secure and quiet in the evenings, and in beautiful surroundings. Recommend!

This house is very nice, very clean, and very well equipped. It has a wonderful covered porch looking out over Lake Sutherland, and easy access to the water. There are also kayaks and paddles, making an excursion onto the lake very doable (and I highly recommend it). The location is also just a short drive to the Spruce RR trail, and the Crescent Lake trails and lodge. Really hard to beat!

The pictures and description are 100% accurate! We stayed at Ron & Andrea's home on Lake Sutherland for 3 nights we did not want to leave for the 2nd half of our trip! While we were there we were able to see the aurora borealis! I have pictures I'd love to share with the owners if that's possible. The beautiful colors above their home were spectacular!

This is one of those properties that is better than advertised. The view of the lake and mountains across the lake were perfect when enjoying morning coffee or afternoon cocktail. Fully equipped with kayaks and paddle boards, and probably other stuff we didn't get to. The kitchen is fully equipped. Just an overall great experience. Oh, and if you're a Twilight fan, don't miss Forks!

We enjoyed spending New Years at Lake Sutherland! There is a lot to do nearby even in the winter, and the house is lovely. We enjoyed the hot tub in the evening and watching the fog roll in and out of the lake. The house is very well outfitted and was great for two couples. We all thought the beds were comfortable, too. Our only issue was that the water tasted heavily of chlorine, but we would still stay here again. If you are deciding where to stay, and this is available: do not hesitate and book!

We loved this home so much that we are already booked for next year. The only thing that needs attention is the trees leading down to the dock. The 2 trees need to be cut back. But hey, that’s the only complaint! The house is well stocked with kitchen ware. Deck furniture is great. The dock is spacious and beautiful. We brought our waverunner and loved being able to hook it up to the “roll n go” rack. Can’t wait to return!

This was a great place for our family; especially, the outside area. Everything was great and as advertised. The only issue as I had read in previous comments was getting someone to answer the phone for arrival but we were able to get in fine. Great place!

Really enjoyed our stay at this home in gorgeous Lake Sutherland. Communication was excellent. We experienced an unexpected power outage shortly after checking in that impacted a wide swath of the community and it was easy to in touch with the owner to make sure we knew where emergency supplies and flashlights were. The home was clean, had kayaks and SUPs for use (huge bonus, so fun!), laundry, and pretty much everything else a family would need. Also, the proximity to Lake Crescent and the rest of ONP was ideal. Hope to stay again in the future.

We had the best time at Ron and Andrea's home. The location was wonderful. It is so near Port Angeles and also so near Lake Crescent, both places were just a near by drive. The house itself was nice, clean, and comfortable. It has everything you need from cooking utensils to good linen to lots of towels. The house being on the lake front was so beautiful, it made our stay very relaxing. Highly recommend this VRBO for folks who want to be central while visiting the Olympic National Park.
