At night, the star-filled sky provides a dazzling display of shooting stars.

The Summit House is 100% off-grid, generating its own solar power, well water, and septic system while still providing modern comforts.
✔ No bath or hot tub (to conserve energy)
✔ Well water with filtration (contains natural iron—bring bottled water if preferred)
✔ Starlink WiFi & Cell Service (AT&T & Verizon strongest)
✔ No TVs (unplug & reconnect with nature)

✔ Bedroom 1: King master suite with sliding door to deck
✔ Bedroom 2: Queen bedroom + Twin bed just outside the room

Access is via 5 miles of U.S. Forest Service roads:
✔ You’ll cross 4–5 small creeks (shallow & easy to navigate)
✔ Roads are rocky, bumpy, but never muddy
✔ Expect grades up to 12% as you climb to your mountaintop escape

✔ Any size truck

• 10 oz. Dawn dish soap
• 1 dishwashing washable cloth (no sponges)
• 2 dish towels + 2 bar mop towels
• 1 bath towel + 1 washcloth per guest
• 2–3 hand towels depending on stay length
• Laundry detergent if washer/dryer is available

Warm thanks for sharing your beautiful cabin with our family! We absolutely loved starting the New Year here! The road up was a fun adventure in our 4WD and the cabin is so spacious, yet cozy. We lived on the back deck soaking up the beautiful view, morning coffee, and evening cocktails. We reclaimed time as days seemed longer to just unwind. 259 is great for exploring the local dining and shops. We loved the fire-pit for roasting hot dogs and nightly s’mores. Loved family boardgames each night and reading books on the deck. The view is so special here and stars/moon are so vibrant too. Just wait for the sunrises and clouds! WiFi was perfect and our Amazon Firestick worked great for YouTube TV. Andy and Debbie are wonderful hosts. The Summit House has our hearts and we cannot wait for our next visit.
