What a lovely place to stay. From the warm welcome to the complimentary wine in the fridge and the beautiful surroundings, we had a really good time here. Cathy was the perfect owner, discrete yet really helpful and very friendly. She takes a pride in her accommodation, designed by herself and built by her husband Bruno. The gite was modern, clean and bright, leaving us wanting for nothing. We had privacy and comfort, peace and quiet and a fantastic pool area to relax in. The whole area is really pretty with its proximity to the countryside full of vines and fruit orchards, the beautiful beaches only half an hour away and with stunning views of Mount Canigou. Perpignan is only 15 mins, the picturesque Collioure 45 mins and Carcassonne one hour and twenty. This property offers it all for the discerning traveller, even having superb modern bed and breakfast accommodation too. There is plenty to do and see with the Catalan festivals, numerous beautiful beaches and plentiful restaurants. We enjoyed visiting Castelnou, Ille sur Tete and especially the wine tasting and lunch at Chateau de Jau (booked and recommended by Cathy).
All in all it was a lovely place to stay (enhanced by the owners being on site) in a pretty area and we thoroughly commend it. And yes, we would go back.
