BEARS in the area - secure trash, lock doors and windows when leaving.
This home does not have a weekly trash pick up service. Trash will be picked up at departure. If necessary, trash will be picked up mid-stay for a nominal fee. Call the office at 970-480-8845. Trash must not overflow the bear proof trash can or be stored in the garage or home.
We reserve the right to conduct a property safety check during long term stays.
Local On-Call Staff available after hours for emergency issues only, i.e. gas leak, broken furnace, broken water line.
Snow removal at 4 inches of new snow on your arrival day.
Management provides a starter kit of amenities to get you through your first day, including: an extra roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, one extra roll of paper towels, 2-3 garbage bags, sample-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner, small bar soap, 2-3 laundry powder packs, 4-5 dishwashing pods, liquid dishwashing soap, and a single brew coffee pack. Guests will need to provide or purchase additional toiletries and products as needed beyond this starter kit.
Long-term reservations of 14+ days require mid-stay property safety checks or mid-stay cleans, additional trash pickups. Safety checks are at no additional charge. Mid-stay cleanings include linens change, floors, bathrooms and light surface cleaning. Mid-stay services are charged to the guest, and charges can only be added after your reservation is made. Great location right between Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park, ideal spot between both main attractions. Having the third bedroom was great so that everyone got their own room and we could all get a good night's sleep. One thing I would note is that the only way to get between floors is a spiral staircase which is super steep. It was fine for us and the kids loved it, but it could be challenging for anyone with mobility issues.

Overall the stay was very pleasant. We did see several small spiders throughout the stay, and the bed sheets needed to be washed before we could sleep on them. It is very clear on the listing description that the house does not have A/C, however, the house got very warm (early September stay) and had a hard time cooling down in the evenings compared to other properties we have stayed at with no A/C in the same area. Property was very conveniently located

It was tough to stay in the house between 1 to 8 pm because the house would heat up to 90 degrees even with the 5 box fans going and the ceiling fans. Outside temps were 84 degrees, so warmer than normal for early August. It felt more like we were camping because we had to waste time at restaurants and the library in the afternoon after our morning hikes. It was a shame because the house was in a great location. The beds were comfortable and it had a great selection of games. We won’t stay here again unless they get a mini-split.
