About this cottage rental
Small, charming, comfortable cottage in the countryside, fully restored with fitted kitchen, lounge area, double bed on the mezzanine. Click-clack in the living room which can make use of a second double bed. Shower room with Italian shower. Garden with table and garden chairs. Maisonette located in a working farm. Picturesque villages around.

We had a fabulous two-week holiday in this cottage. Claude and Marie-France are very generous, thoughtful hosts and gave us a warm welcome.
Everything you might need for a self-catering holiday is provided. At ground floor level: a modern bathroom and washing machine, kitchen with oven and hob, fridge-freezer and all the cooking/dining equipment you might expect, along with dining table and chairs for four. A lounge area with comfortable sofa if you wish to spend time indoors - watch tv/read/play games etc., and also a built-in cupboard for hanging clothes. Good wifi connection was also appreciated. Steps lead up to the mezzanine with very comfortable double bed, bedside table and ottoman for clothes storage. Outside is a table and 4 chairs for outside relaxation and dining, either on the lawn with beautiful weeping-willow tree, or on the white-pebble patio with stone barbecue - lots of outside space so you can move round with the sun!
We visited many stunning chateaux and towns on La Loire, between Blois to the West and Sully-sur-Loire to the East - all comfortable day-trips. Away from the river, Chartres is unmissable, but also recommend Dourdan and Yevre la Chatel. Loved the steam-train ride from Pithiviers which operates on Sundays! Countryside surrounding the cottage is quiet and fairly flat, ideal for cyclists (which we are not!) and walkers (with an ageing dog, which we are!!) We would not hesitate to recommend this holiday accommodation and would love to return one day.

Andonville is a quiet place with rural charm. It's situated 40 minutes southern to Paris and 40 minutes west of Fontainebleu. Perfect for experinencing France from a different angle.

The house is immaculate. Beautifully renovated and to a high standard within a farm courtyard, which is so beautiful to look out on. A very warm welcome and our hosts were always ready to help. Easy access to the region with lots to see and do around, Orleans is good and Chartres is stunning! We stayed here with our 2 year old and he absolutely loved it - more tractors than he could dream of! We will definetly be returning to the house.
