About this apartment rental
The apartment:
Comfortable two-room (50 sqm) newly renovated and furnished ideal for friends, couples or a family of four or with children or babies (equipped with a cot).
The apartment consists of a room used as a living / dining room with double double sofa bed and flat screen TV, a mezzanine bedroom with air conditioning, a second room used entirely as a kitchen and equipped with everything, a large bathroom with shower, which leads to a private internal courtyard, ideal for smoking, relaxing or reading a book.
The whole apartment is equipped with every comfort (free WiFi connection) and is tastefully furnished to make you feel at home.
The district:
A few steps (100 meters) you arrive in one of the main streets of the city, Via Umberto I, ideal for shopping and nightlife.
On Via Umberto you will find our characteristic "Kiosks" where you can quench your thirst with typical local drinks.
The area is well equipped with: supermarkets (200 meters), bakeries, pharmacies, restaurants, pizzerias, pubs, trattorias, bars, bike rentals, etc.
At 750 meters from the apartment is Piazza Carlo Alberto the historic market (open every morning except Sunday) where you can buy fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, clothing etc.
A 20-minute walk takes you to the Baroque-style Piazza del Duomo built in the Xl century by the Normans of Roger I, in honor of Sant'Agata, patron saint of the city.
At the center of the square is the symbol of the city, the elephant called "U Liotru", next to it is the Amenano fountain, which gives access to the fish market "Pescheria".

The area is served by public transport.
From the airport to the apartment by taxi the fare is around € 20.
Alternatively there is the bus (Alibus) that from the airport takes you to the city every 20 minutes at a cost of € 4 payable on the vehicle.
Exactly 1 km from the apartment there is the Central Train Station, in front there is also the Bus Terminal that connects Catania with the other locations (Taormina, Syracuse, Noto, Piazza Armerina, Agrigento, Palermo etc ...) .
Tourist tax 2 euros per night per person for the first 4 nights, to be paid upon check-in.
Children under 16 are excluded.

This is a terrific apartment in a great area. Easy to walk to and from the bus and train stations, easy to walk to multiple restaurants and bars. The host Giuseppe was very helpful and friendly, and I would definitely stay here again.

Adrian in Giuseppe were the Perfect Host and hostess. They had everything we needed to have a perfect 3 days stay in Catania.We would like to note that the stairs to the comfortable king/queen size bed could be difficult for older people. We enjoyed the coffee and yogurt provided. Kitchen was well stocked. Could easily have stayed longer.

Adrianna and Guiseppe met us at the apartment when we arrived late after 8pm. They were very welcoming and gave us lots of useful information on great restaurants, all of which were brilliant. Recommendations on travelling around the area were really helpful. We enjoyed trips to Acitrezza, Syracusa and Taormina by bus. The apartment was very comfortable and well equipped. We slept really well but earplugs were useful on NewYears' Eve and New Years' Day. Many thoughtful touches such a breakfast materials, milk, water and wine (and fizz for New Year!) helped to make our stay really relaxing and special. Easy to get to from the airport and a fifteen minute walk to the historic centre. Adrianna checked to make sure we were ok and was always contactable including accommodating a late check out for a late flight. Catania is a great base to explore Etna and experience Sicilian warmth at any time of year. We recommend this apartment.

Apartment was spotlessly clean, well-furnished and well-equipped. It was conveniently located both for enjoying the city and walking to public transport such as the airport bus, and free on-street parking was usually available just outside. Adriana and Guiseppe went to great lengths to make us welcome and ensure we had everything we needed.
