The resort is located in the central and convenient Honokowai area on Maui's west side. A private gate from The Mahana provides easy access to the boardwalk that goes for miles and eventually leads to the Kaanapali Beach resort area. Take a short walk on the boardwalk or the beach to Duke's restaurant next door or to one of the nearby resorts for fine dining and entertainment.

BEACHES & CRITTERS: The beach size in Hawaii varies month to month due to weather, heavy surf, strong currents, and tides. Due to Maui's rural setting, you may experience the occasional rooster, as well as harmless geckos. Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaii. Please don't kill them. Although the HOA schedules regular professional pest control services, pests such as ants, roaches and rodents simply cannot be completely controlled in the tropics. Maui is in a tropical climate. If our guest spot more than the normal expected pests, we always make our best efforts to contact and work with the HOA to minimize your interactions with these pests. Any contact with such pests within or outside the unit does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment.
**We make no guarantee that properties adjacent to the Unit will be free from disturbances, including but not limited to noise or inconvenience from construction, traffic or other guests or neighbors. Any such disturbance shall not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment. By booking your stay with us, you accept that Host is not liable for any inconveniences arising from any temporary defect or stoppage in supply of water, electricity, air conditioning or plumbing that is beyond their control. Host is not liable for any loss or damage to Tenants' personal property caused by weather conditions, natural disasters, or other events beyond their control. Tenants accept that the cable and internet service at the Rental can be sporadic and unreliable at times, and Tenant shall not be entitled to any refund of the rental fee in the event either of these services are unavailable or not operating properly during Tenants' stay

Super impressed with the condo. Even though it was a studio, it felt spacious and fully equipped. We loved watching the ocean from our balcony including the turtles that were swimming near the shore. Great location with lots to eat, see, and do. Highly recommend for a romantic getaway! Property manager was super responsive and helpful.

The view from this property is nothing short of amazing! In late March-April1, we saw turtles, seals, and even a whale! The colors of the water and the breathtaking sunsets are unrivaled! The condo is small but adequate for a couple. Having access to a cooler and binoculars was an added plus. If I could make any changes, it would be for a firmer bed, as this one is sinking soft, and an extra bottle of body wash. The kitchen is extremely basic, but was advertised as such. The space is clean and very functional. We had a great stay!

My husband and I loved our stay. There was nothing that could beat watching the whales and the turtles from our balcony. The studio was nice, clean and quiet. I can’t say enough about the place. If I’m ever lucky enough to visit Maui again, I wouldn’t consider staying elsewhere!

We loved the Mahana! What I didn’t love was, I thought I was booking a VRBO. I made my first payment. I’ve only used VRBO once and when my second payment was due, VRBO sent me an email with a payment button. This time I never got anything. I went to VRBO and logged in and there was no way to make a payment. It was my due date for my second payment. Traveling for a celebration of life memorial I needed to be there and I didn’t want to get my reservation canceled for not making a payment. Frantically contacted VRBO. They informed me that a third-party listing. That I was to pay the property manager and not VRBO. They said it’s now off our software and on theirs so we can’t even look into it for you. They were able to get the property managers on the phone and I was able to make the payment over the phone. I never should’ve had to be frantic like this. All of my emails, text messages and phone calls went unreturned. That’s when I contacted VRBO.
