About this apartment rental
Our beachfront condo with its own private beach is on Puerto Vallarta's famous Playa Los Muertos. This spacious 1,200 sq. ft. condo has two bedrooms, two king beds, and two full baths (walk-in shower/no tub). Kitchen has microwave, toaster, blender, and coffee maker. Nicely furnished, including cable television in living room and master bedroom, washer and dryer, air conditioned, and ceiling fans throughout. Swimming pool is just steps from this first-floor unit's covered patio. Blue Chairs Beach Resort, Mantamar Beach Club, and Sapphire Ocean Club are all nearby. Many restaurants and shops are within easy walking distance. Gated entry with reception desk 24/7.
The view from Playa Bonita condo building is over Banderas Bay. At 27 miles across, it is the second widest bay in the world. The calm, clear waters provide the perfect backdrop to stunning sunsets that you can see from our patio. December thru March, the bay is home to the spectacular humpback whale. Be sure to schedule a whale watching tour on the bay.
Between June and December, Olive Ridley turtles lay their eggs on the beach. You might be lucky enough to witness baby turtles hatching and making their way to the sea.
Playa Los Muertos is a wide, sandy beach excellent for swimming. Local vendors wander the beach selling their crafts and locally made food. If you don’t want the goods they are offering, simply say, “Gracias, no.”
Los Muertos pier is a favorite fishing spot for the locals. You can arrange for your own fishing expedition from there, or take a water taxi to one of the South Shore villages that are accessible only by boat.

A Honest Love Letter (With a Few Asterisks)We loved this place — but we wished someone had written this review before we arrived, so here we are, paying it forward.The Good Stuff FirstThe balcony gate that opens directly to the pool? Chef’s kiss. We went from horizontal on the couch to floating in the pool in under 60 seconds. No “getting ready.” No key cards. The sunsets from that pool deck are genuinely stunning, and the view from the living room didn’t disappoint either.The kitchen is fully stocked — we cooked almost every meal we bought without hunting for a single missing tool. The secondary entrance is a quiet gem; didn’t need it for our trip, but if you’re coming with another couple, that’s a real perk.The property comes loaded with beach towels — more than you’d expect, and genuinely appreciated.The security guards were consistently friendly and helpful, and the host was quick to respond to a message when we had a question — both appreciated more than you might expect.The laundry works great — just run an empty cycle first to clear out any standing water, and grab some fragrant fabric softener while you’re at the store.Things Nobody Told Us (But Should Have)The beach umbrellas. There’s a designated area on the beach for guests, marked with a sign, with straw palapa umbrellas reserved just for you. You can bring your own food and drinks. Do NOT sleep on this. Seriously. Beautiful, clean property that is in walking distance to everything you can want in Puerto Vallarta. Marshall is an amazing host and will go the extra mile to see to your comforts.

The description states that you get a beautiful view of the sunset from your patio, that would be true if you weren’t looking through a large amount of electrical lines.There is a bar beneath the pool area that blasts techno music from about 4:00 pm to at least 1:00 am.The location is great to go across the street to the beach and there is a roped off area to sit. I wouldn’t consider it “beachfront” since you have to cross the street and walk past a bar to get there…Bathrooms are nice! Kitchen is adequate. Couch and mattress is uncomfortable.
