Welcome to "Winterfell", our mountain cabin hide-away! Located just off a main road in Arnold, the Inn has easy access to Highway 4, and from there up to Bear Valley, or down to Murphy's. Our Inn has three guest bedrooms + bath suites that we rent out. This unit has a king bed, and a folding, roll-away single bed. We do not charge a cleaning fee, are dog friendly, and usually have only a one night minimum stay (four night maximum stay). One well-behaved dog (Pet, Comfort, or Service) is welcome, but may not be left unattended in Unit unless kenneled - we have a kennel you can use). We hope you'll feel at home in our home.

The accommodation was very nice, a great value for the price. My wife and I would have loved to have stayed longer and hope to return in the not too distant future.

Nice place in the woods. Curvy road leads to the driveway. We sat out at the picnic table until the mosquitoes chased us in. Then we sat on the comfy coach and talked and talked. Had breakfast in Arnold at Bistro Espresso and walked in the redwoods. This place was perfect for a quick getaway. Heard some dog footsteps upstairs early in the morning, but nothing excessive. Host was nice and helpful. I'd stay here again.

Aaron and Lynn were very friendly and communicative. The place was overall clean, but we did notice some food remains under the couch and some strands dog hair get stuck on some of our clothes. One downside was that there wasn’t a hairdryer in the unit. Perhaps there was one before and a previous guest took it. A bit tricky to find if arriving after dark, but doable if you’re careful about looking for the markings they tell you about. It was overall a comfortable two night stay for our family!

Everything about this stay was superb from the communication, to the warm in-person welcome, to the homey accommodations, provided snacks and helpful informational signage. My wife, infant, dogs and I felt right at home and nice and warm. Aaron and Lynn are incredible hosts and even brought out a child cot. We ended up using the pack and play we brought but that was still such a thoughtful and nice touch. The bed was comfy and there was plenty of blankets and comforters to use if needed. Aaron even saw us out which was sweet. Will be staying here on our way to Bear Valley in the future!p.s. Aaron is a great writer and blessed me with his debut novel ‘Out of Time’ which I actually recommend any sci-fi fans to read.

I opted not to stay here after having such a hard time finding this place at night. The GPS lead us to a parking space in the deep woods with practically no way to communicate with the hosts. With one bar showing on our cell phone, we drove away to find a better signal and called the hosts. They were gracious and offered to drive to us and escort us. It was just too weird. If this place is that far out of range of cell service and you have to rely on the hosts that much to find it and enter it, it’s not worth it.

The owners were fantastic, friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond, we came with dogs and they had water bowl waiting for them. They supplied everything you could need, snacks and some drinks. Our only con, we could have done without our spider friends. But we would definitely recommend the place.

We really enjoyed our last minute overnight stay at Winterfell. Lynn was very accommodating and went out of her way to be sure we had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. It’s a very dog friendly place for Good Boys.🐾

We only stayed one night, but we were so impressed with our stay at Winterfell. Our hosts paid attention to little details (stocked snack shelves; chocolates) to make sure we were comfortable and our traveling four-legger enjoyed her stay too.

This is a great place. Quiet, wooded. The host had snacks available. We forgot some hot coco for the cool night, and they had some for us!
Already planning another trip.
Thanks for the hospitality!!

Both blinds were broken,
no closet, there is a wall rack instead,
bath could use a towel bar,
heating inadequate for January,
4 pm check in is a bit late,
with a $20 service charge, they're kidding about "no hidden fees"
internet is slow and spotty,
