About this bed and breakfast
In the countryside near Yaiza, in the beautiful volcanic island Lanzarote, the beautiful holiday home “Finca la Calerita C” is the perfect accommodation for couples, adventurers and pet owners. Guests will love this property for the quiet area where it is located as well as for its views, and it is ideal to rest after a day discovering the island or just disconnect. The apartment has 2 floors with independent access and connected through an outdoor spiral staircase: on the ground floor you will find the bedroom (with 2 single beds) and a bathroom, while the living-dining room and the well-equipped kitchen are in a single space on the first floor. There are two "windows" on the dining room floor that allow you to see the lower floor and make the space very bright. This floor also has its own terrace. Additional amenities include Wi-Fi, a baby cot and a highchair. The shared outdoor area offers a swimming pool where guests can take a dip in warm summer days, as well as a barbecue area. You will find the closest shops, restaurants, bars and cafes in Uga (5 minutes by car; 3km) and Yaiza (7 minutes by car; 5.4km), while the closest beaches, Playa de la Arena and Playa del Paso, are a 13-minute drive (5.5km) and a 17-minute drive (7.6km) away respectively. “Finca la Calerita C” is the ideal apartment for hiking routes and it is also conveniently located if you want to do the typical excursions around the island. At the foot of the mountain there is a centre where guests can do fun activities such as riding horses, camels and buggies or playing paintball among others. The airport of the island can be reached after only 14 minutes driving (13.8km).

Pros: Check-in was uncomplicated, also due to easy communication with the owner. The place itself was great, with a livingroom plus kitchen 'upstairs' and bedroom/bathroom 'downstairs', all very clean and with everything you might need for a holiday/short stay. I also enjoyed the pool, I could say 'my' pool :-), for although there seemed to be other guests, nobody else used it. A car is necessary to reach the finca, as it is a bit out of the way of the regular holiday places.
For us it was very suitable and we did very much enjoy our stay. Unfortunately we didn't meet the owner in person and alas I didn't get a reaction to my last message to him, in which I thanked him for the hospitality.
