Enderly - c1859 - English Basement Apartment

What a wonderful apartment, in a beautifully restored historic home! The "English basement" was a warm and spacious home, with 2 cozy ensuite bedrooms, clean and comfortable, as well as a large country kitchen and separate living room. The host had provided sightseeing brochures and links, and restaurant recommendations, as well as kitchen and bath staples. The parking spaces were convenient and right next to the apartment, and the host responded almost immediately to a few quick questions we had during our stay. I would definitely recommend this apartment for other travelers EXCEPT during my future UVA reunion weekends! Thanks for the hospitality.

Enderly is lovely! The home has so much character and I loved reading about the history of it. It really added to the unique experience of visiting Charlottesville for the first time. I also was grateful for how accessible the home was for my mom who has mobility issues. Just one small step up into the home! We really enjoyed the outdoor area. It had a lot of privacy with the surrounding garden. I even took a short nap out there, listening to the birds chirp. The home had plenty of extra towels and the kitchen allowed us to gather each morning for breakfast and take out one night. It was all quite cozy and very comfortable beds! The owner was so easy to chat with. He always responded right away and even let us check in a little bit early so we could drop our bags before heading to a winery. This really was an ideal location, so close to everything!

This English basement with its spacious porch was one of the best places we have ever rented. The hosts were easy to communicate with and friendly. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious. The kitchen was well stocked and the large table seated six. Relax on the porch and listen to the birds sing. Location! Location! Walkable to Downtown Mall or minutes away by car. Easy access to and from I-64 and 29 N. We will be back.
