About this villa rental

Thanks to some unhappy reviews, we took actions to make your stay at La Clarissa always a better experience.
We have:
- a brand new fridge, renovated table & chairs and marble table on the terrace
- done an accurate maintenace at all the windows.
- a new cleaning staff.
- The parking now has less slope to get in.
Take note that, the parking is an option, you may ask for that but, it won’t be be included in the website prices.

'La Clarissa', a romantic cottage on the S.S. Amalfitana, is 800 meters from the pretty village of Minori. Attention to detail, with the large terrace projected on Marmorata Bay, it's ideal for a couple looking for a relaxing corner nestled in the beautiful Amalfi Coast. The house consists of two levels connected internally by a spiral staircase and externally by a large staircase on the terrace.
Upper level: bedroom with double bed, bathroom (WC) and balcony to the sea.
Lower level: living room with sofa bed, bathroom with shower, kitchen and terrace overlooking the sea with outdoor shower.
The house has a private parking space at 150 mt. At 50 meters from the villa there is a bus stop linking the tourist resorts of the coast (Amalfi, Ravello, Positano). From the pier of Minori boats leave connecting with daily trips, even in the evening, Positano and Amalfi

Our four-night stay in Ravello was absolutely out of this world. When you first arrive, the outside might not look like much …. but don’t let that initial impression fool you. Step inside, and everything only gets better. The view was even more stunning than the photos. Having a private balcony surrounded by flowers and lemon trees, with sweeping sea views, made it truly unforgettable. Sunrise and sunset here are pure magic.Mario was beyond fantastic as a host. He met us at arrival, showed us how to operate everything, and even helped arrange transportation through Enzo, a local golf cart driver. His warmth and hospitality made all the difference in our stay.As a bonus, the apartment had a washer, which was essential for us on a longer trip. Between the unbeatable location, breathtaking views, and incredible host, this is a place we can’t recommend highly enough.

This little apartment is fabulous. The panoramic view of the Mediterranean from the veranda is to die for. The town of Minori is a short walk and had everything you need. The apartment is small, but it has everything nicely arranged.Also Mr Mario was a great help with showing us the town and with transportation.We didn't want to leave.

I cannot begin to thank Mario enough for the attention and care he gave my family on our trip to the Amalfi Coast. My sister and I lost our significant others recently and planning a trip without them was nothing short of an act of courage. Mario was always a WhatsApp text away with an answer, a suggestion or a remedy. From beginning to end we felt he truly cared. And a huge thanks to Dario for giving that memorable ride along the Amalfi Coast all the way to Positano in a golf cart! And thanks also for stopping at the Fjord Furore!!! We are recommending La Clarissa/ Amalfi Dreams to EVERYONE we know. The house was perfect! We actually chose to stay and relax there as opposed to over extending ourselves visiting places like Pompeii and Amalfi although both were EASILY accessible. Pompeii we are saving for our next trip. Our stay at the La Clarissa cottage was spectacular! Our host Mario was friendly, informative and accommodating, he contacted us the day before to arrange a meeting place and time for check in. Mario accompanied us to the cottage for a tour and overview of La Clarissa. Aside from the tricky location of the cottage on the Via Marmorata, (the main coastal road), the location is perfect, just 5 minutes walk to the town of Minori. The cottage was bright, spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. There was plenty of room for 2 of us, with separate living spaces upstairs/downstairs and a bathroom on each floor, the kitchen had everything we needed. The spiral staircase was a bit challenging for my 6’4” husband, however there is a second set of straight stairs outside that lead to the second floor as an alternative. The outdoor space with the huge terrace is why I chose this rental, it was absolutely phenomenal! The La Clarissa exceeded my expectations, I would definitely recommend this rental for a couple looking for rest and relaxation with incredible views of the seaside of Amalfi Coast.Pros: seaside views, comfortable/clean cottage, location near small non-touristy town, plenty of restaurants/shopping, easy access to ferry, bus.Cons: location on busy road with minimal walking space, traffic noise at times, not ideal for children or those with accessibility needs..

My spouse and I took a working vacation to the Amalfi Coast to both write and see the area. This cottage is small while providing all that wea needed: small kitchen for simple home meals, a full bath plus small half bath next to bedroom, and small living room. Of course, the selling point is the stunning view combined with privacy. The wide terrace/patio is exactly as pictured and adds so much space. We practically lived on the terrace. Also, Mario, the property manager, is extremely helpful, answering a million questions and even sending a taxi to rescue us when we hiked up to Ravello (it’s 1000 steps straight up!) too late in the day to walk back down in the dark. The cottage is literally on the main coast road, so there is noise from the road, which we quickly adjusted to. Also, unit is on two floors, which worked fine for us. Would rent again in a heartbeat.

Everywhere you look is gorgeous. Mario was the perfect host. He helped us get acquainted with the town and set up drivers for us. Without him, our vacation would not have been as good! The walks to Minori was a delight. The people of the town were warm and welcoming. Catching a bus to Amalfi was easy and inexpensive. I can't wait to go back!!

Cottage was beautiful with views to match. Access is right on the street...literally. But that is the way in the area. Mario was fantastic help getting us situated and checked on us to make sure everything was perfect. We are looking forward to returning again in the future. Our stay was amazing. The apartment was adorable, the location was great (just a short walk into Minori and the bus stops a few steps from the door) and the private balcony was perfection. Mario is the warmest, kindest, and most helpful host we have ever encountered through our rentals on this app, truly making us feel like friends/family visiting. This property has a magnificent view and plenty of charm. The pizza oven is incredible. However, the parking spot requires a walk down a very busy road to the house. It's a narrow, two-way, winding road with no shoulder, where the cars go whizzing past very quickly. Especially at night, it didn't feel safe to walk from the car to the house. The house also could be better equipped; there were no extra blankets and it was very cold downstairs (we were there in the winter) and there also was nothing provided for us to clean with -- no paper towels, no mop, and no broom which presented problems for us. In spite of these things, it is a beautiful property and a special place.

This lovely little apartment has amazing views - they more than compensate for any small inconveniences. The spiral staircase could be difficult for some. The apartment is very well equipped inside with clean and modern facilities. Mario was particularly helpful throughout our stay.

After a bit of difficulty finding this place, our fault for not using google maps! we were welcomed by the property manager who had been very patient with us attempting to locate the apartment. The apartment is as advertised. There is a spiral staircase connecting the bedroom and the main floor that is quite steep but we utilized the outside staircase to carry our bags in and out. There is noise as other reviewers have stated but we live in a large city and were not bothered by the traffic. The view from the patio and bedroom walkout is spectacular! We took advantage of both the bbq and a washing machine. Parking was off site and cost extra. We chose to leave the car parked and walked everywhere. The host provided a few items for our first breakfast which was greatly appreciated.

We enjoyed sitting on the terrace drinking coffee and wine. Mario was exceptionally helpful with arrival, check-in and activity suggestions. Mario arranged a driver to take us to various locations along the coast. This experience was very memorable. We visited in February, outside of peak tourist season so the traffic was manageable. The ten minute walk to Minori along the busy winding road was scary at times. This place is not suitable for anyone with mobility challenges. Taxi from Salerno train station costs anywhere from 75 -90 euros.

The incredible view from each and every room in this adorable villa was quite simply amazing. The tiny kitchen was so well equipped we were able to cook and enjoy the terrace for dinner and drinks and soak up the view as much as we possibly could. The bedroom upstairs was really comfy with an ensuite loo so you didn't need to go downstairs during the night. The spiral staircase was quite steep but gave us no issues at all but if you had mobility issue this may not be the place for you. We were able to park very close by and the manager was amazing, he sent us ideas of where to go where to eat what to see etc and responded so quickly when we contacted him. Generally he was a lovely helpful chap. The bedroom was a little noisy in the mornings with the traffic being so very close but we were aware of this before we booked and the view and the convenience of being so close to the town made up for it. We were up early anyway to soak up as much of the view as possible! We walked each day down into Minori and you are on the main Amalfi drive so the traffic can be a little scary but they are used to seeing pedestrians and if you take care and keep your wits about you it is absolutely fine, part of the adventure really. It takes about ten mins to walk down into town where there are many options for food and drinks and the ferry as well to explore the rest of the coast of you don't want to drive. We totally loved it and perfect for exploring the Amalfi coast from a quiet spot

This was the second time we have stayed at La Clarissa - the first was ten years ago - and again it lived up to everything we wanted. The Villa is perfect for a couple although three could work at a squeeze. Its two key features are first the wonderful south facing terrace with its views and where you can watch the comings and goings in the bay below and secondly its walkable closeness to wonderful little Minori a quintessential Italian coastal town with its restaurants, shops and welcoming atmosphere. All too often on the Amalfi Coast you can be perched in a spectacular spot that requires hundreds of steps to reach or a car/bus ride to the nearest town - not La Clarissa! Anna the owner is very approachable and Mario the fixer is always on hand to give brilliant advice and deal with any problems. We had a car so there was extra to pay for the parking spot but it's not essential and anyway the best way to see Amalfi, Positano, Cetara, Capri and Sorrento is to go by ferry. Finally some have mentioned the road which is right outside the front door. It is busy with lots of scooters and yes it can be a bit noisy at rush hour and the SITA buses do hoot at every opportunity but you soon get used to it and in no way does it affect your enjoyment of this unique little gem. La Clarissa awaits - if you love everything that Italy provides you won't be disappointed!

We had the most unforgettable stay...my teenage son wants to move to Ravello! The view was unbeatable, whether getting dressed in the morning, fixing a snack in the afternoon or drinking wine on the terrace at sunset....a view from every room. Chrystal clear beach and great restaurants within walking distance, bus stop across the street - the location was amazing. We visited the busier towns of Positano and Amalfi and the quieter neighbouring towns by bus and by ferry - we hiked the Path of Gods and Path of Lemons, every location was very accessible. The Property Manager and Mario were very communicative and provided exceptional service. Mario helped us out of a bind on more than one occasion , he was so doting and helpful and always with a smile on his face - the best service we received on our entire 3-week trip to Italy.

My wife and I loved staying here. Everything about our stay was amazing. Breathtaking views from the patio and such a fun city. Close to the restaurants and shopping in Minori and Mario made the check in very easy and was very helpful. This stay was the highlight of our trip to Italy and we hope to return again and stay at this amazing home.

We chose this rental for the terrace and -night and day- it didn’t disappoint. The flat was the right size for the two of us and the location - just a 10 minute walk to Minori although it has a Ravello address- made for easy treks to restaurants and stores. We did use the parking for our rental car and it was fine although not on the premises. The spiral staircase was fun but not for those with mobility issues. We didn’t mind the closeness of the street or the traffic. Since this was a longer stay -over two weeks- it would have been helpful to have things like trash bags, soap, etc. for a longer stay. We had to ask for trash bags and we couldn’t find the broom vacuum cleaner for about a week. Mario - the property manager- oversees over 20 properties and so sometimes it took a day for him to get back to us when we had questions. All in all, it was a pleasant stay and -again- the view is unbeatable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5-night stay in the cottage! There is a small balcony off the upstairs bedroom with a spectacular view of the Mediterranean Sea!! You can lay in the bed and enjoy a postcard view when the doors are open! There is also a large terrace on the second level (you can see in the pictures) with gorgeous views. There’s a small half bath off the bedroom and a larger full bathroom downstairs. We hardly used the kitchen or the living room because we spent our time roaming through the Amalfi Coast. As others have mentioned, the bedroom is positioned so that it is right off the road. We were able to sleep fine but there is a lot of beeping of horns early in the mornings. The only issue we had was that neither air conditioner worked so it was pretty warm as we slept. Mario was a great help with arranging transportation to restaurants for us. Otherwise, we walked to town for breakfast a few mornings. We would definitely stay here again for the views alone!

Minori is quaint and everyone was friendly. Golf Cart Minori was fantastic with helping to get us and our luggage from the ferry to the villa. This was a trip of a lifetime! My husband and I enjoyed every minute of our stay. This property was exactly what the pictures showed. The views were incredible. The location was perfect. We were able to walk everywhere. It’s a short walk to Minori for dinner or drinks or to the public beach. We also walked to Almafi which took us about 45 Minutes. Mario the man who checked us in and took care of everything we needed will forever hold a special place in our heart. He and his girlfriend Filo went above and beyond to make our stay special. They invited us for dinner at their home. It was a night to remember. Make sure you check out Bar Bambi. Micheala the owner also holds a special place in our hearts. The extra service and wonderful drinks are top notch. Alba Cafe is a 5 min walk toward Almafi. What a treat to have a restaurant that the locals go to that is so close with amazing food and beautiful views. The only reason I give this property 4 stars is because the wood fire grill that is pictured was not ready for use. There were no tools to make pizza or anything to start the grill. No worries we found the best wood fire pizza at the Restaurant Giardiniello. Thank you for a wonderful trip!❤️
