About this house rental
At the edge of the charming and peaceful village of Xaintray, near the Marais Poitevin, the the Mélissière is a little paradise to relax, rest, away from the stress and continuing agitation.
The House of Margot is the former bread oven in the house Mélissière.
It is in the courtyard of the house and ensures peace and quiet for the whole family. Fully restored respecting the regional tradition, this stone country house offers a living area of 110 sqm and can accommodate up to 9 people.
On the ground floor, fitted 28 m² kitchen, toilet, bedroom 20 m² with 160x200 bed and toilet / shower room. Upstairs large living room of 40 m² with two sofa beds in 140 and a sitting area with bed 90X200, toilet, bedroom 20 m² with bed 160x200 and cot, toilet / shower room.
The pool is fully secure (fence to standards NF) has comfortable proportions (10 m X 5 m - depth from 120 to 180) and offers all the joys of swimming. Terrace 2 m 2 m 50 wide will allow you to enjoy the sunshine on the sun beds around. The pool is shared with the guests of the Logis de la Mélissière. This is never a problem of cohabitation, everyone finds his pleasure. It is accessible at will at any time of the day.
A large garden allows children to have fun and grow in freedom.
The Pays de Gâtine and the Marais Poitevin offer many tourist, cultural or leisure. On site you will find many hiking trails, mountain biking, horseback riding. Upon your arrival, you can make a small foot ride, hiking trails begin as soon as you walked through the door of the house.
The House of Margot is ideally located between the Puy du Fou and Futuroscope (takes one hour by car). The proximity of the Marais Poitevin you will discover a unique site in Europe. Nearby, the Abbeys South Vendee and many other attractions will fill your days.

We had a wonderful week at this beautiful gite. Brigitte and Lionel were very friendly and attentive to our needs. The gite itself and grounds are beautifully maintained - we felt super relaxed when we left having spent the week swimming, lying in hammocks and exploring the nature in the garden. Thank you Brigitte and Lionel - we hope to return one day! X

Very pretty cottage, both inside and outside. Lovely grounds, very relaxing and peaceful. Brigitte and Lionel made us feel very welcome and made sure everything was catered for. Pool very nice and we enjoyed using the table tennis / games area in the adjoining barn. Good location for visiting surrounding attractions. Hope to return in the future!

We had a lovely break here, lovely location and great place to stay. The couple who hosted our stay were very inviting as well as leaving us to our own devices to enjoy the place and surrounding land. We would highly recommend this place. Thank you
