Riley's Retreat is your pet-friendly, quaint, comfortable cottage in downtown Kanab perfect for visits to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary and all of the nearby national parks. We offer a free concierge with some great recommendations:) Kanab is situated in the "Grand Circle" area, centrally located among Vermilion Cliffs National Monument, Bryce Canyon National Park, the Grand Canyon (North Rim), Zion National Park, Pipe Spring National Monument, Coral Pink Sand Dunes, Kodachrome Basin, Lake Powell, the Wave, Horseshoe Bend and so much more.
This property is a pet friendly property and does require a $50 pet fee if you plan on bringing your furry friends! :)
Pet Policy: Pets are NOT allowed to be unattended in the home at any time, please understand and respect our policy:)
The Space:
Riley's Retreat is well loved by pet owners and visitors to Best Friends for its perfect pet setup. The home has a large backyard with a pet door and ramp for older dogs. Just 3 blocks from the center of town, guests can walk to shops and restaurants.
The Neighborhood:
Riley's Retreat is on the north side of downtown Kanab. You are just a few blocks from restaurants, shops, parks, hiking trails, our city swimming pool and more.
Getting Around:
From the home, you can walk to anything downtown but of course, you'll want a vehicle to visit the parks and all of the exciting things to explore here.
Page, AZ airport is 1 hour away; St. George, UT airport is 1.5 hours away; Las Vegas airport is 3 hours away.
Other Things to Note:
Kanab is known as the "Hub of the Parks', and is the gateway to three national parks, Zion (30 Miles), Bryce Canyon (70 miles) and the Grand Canyon North Rim (70 miles). Visit the Grand Staircase - Escalante Monument, Lake Powell/Glen Canyon Recreation Area, Coral Pink Sand Dunes, The 'Wave'/Paria Wilderness, Pipe Springs National Monument, Kodachrome State Park, Cedar Breaks and Cedar Mountain. Also tour Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, or hike in the red rock country nearby through the many trails such as Squaw, Bunting, and K-Hill trails. Equestrian and biking trails are also available. Relax with a dream vacation and re-live life in the west where dozens of western movies were made, Kanab otherwise knows as 'little Hollywood' is home to the Western Legends Roundup, every August and features vendors, great food, two live stages and the National Cowboy Poetry Rodeo. This event honors the western movie industry and highlights the 'High Noon' western parade, and much, much more. We didn’t have any pets with us but the set up was perfect for fur babies!The main suggestion was to install safety grab bars in the bathtub/showers.The home was in a great location to Best Friends sanctuary and plenty of biking and hiking trails.I would highly recommend this home and I would stay here again!

Loved the fenced in yard it was perfect for my dog. The house is setup nicely to support chill time as you recover from the adventures of the day.

Stayed here for two nights. It was well equipped, comfortable beds, quiet neighborhood, and we especially appreciated being able to have our dog with us. I could tell the owners love dogs and made great accommodations for pets. Lighting was a bit dim in family room but other than that we really enjoyed our stay and recommend it to others. Within walking distance of downtown area with coffee shops and restaurants.

The property is a blessing for dogs and serves them well. The neighborhood is very family friendly with streets to walk and ride bikes on. The back yard is peaceful and I was able to watch sunrises and sunsets and see the moon as it progressed through its stages including a full moon and eclipse. This was an awesome blessing and healing experience for me. The hosts are very fair and understanding of my needs.
