The Pine Home is centrally located in Taos, close to the Historic District and all essential in-town amenities. By car, we're just:
- 5 minutes from Taos Plaza and the Historic District
- 10 minutes from the Millicent Rogers Museum and Taos Pueblo
- 2-3 minutes from Walmart and Albertsons
For outdoor enthusiasts, we're also within easy driving distance to local ski resorts and hiking trails:
- 35 minutes to Taos Ski Valley
- 33 minutes to Sipapu Ski and Summer Resort
- 45 minutes to Angel Fire Ski Resort
Additionally, the property is just 2 minutes away from the restaurant owned by the primary host, Connie, who has been a restaurant owner for 20 years. The Pine Home:
This spacious property offers a fully private, peaceful retreat with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a beautiful walled courtyard. Situated on half an acre of fenced land, it is surrounded by a mix of pine and apricot trees, making for a charming, nature-filled environment. The home is in a quiet neighborhood with free on-site parking for up to four vehicles. Our A/C system is only for the ground floor since the basement is usually pretty cool.
The Pine Home is split into two levels:
Ground Floor:
- Minisplit ductless A/C cooling in bedrooms and living room.
- 2 bedrooms with king-sized beds
- 2 bathrooms
- Fully equipped kitchen
- Cozy living room with a 55-inch TV (Fire TV + Netflix)
- Huge bay windows with panoramic views of the Taos Mountains
- Laundry unit with scent-free detergent in the main bathroom
- Direct access to the private courtyard, featuring one of the best apricot trees in town
Basement Floor:
- 2 bedrooms with queen-sized beds
- 1 full bathroom

The ground floor and basement each have separate entrances but are connected by an internal staircase that can be locked on both sides, making the space ideal for larger groups or families who want privacy.

Overall, great location for a large group with a couple caveats. If you are sensitive to odors, the basement is a bit musty. That bothered my wife, but not me or the other couple staying down there. The shared bathroom in the basement does have a pump, so if you're a light sleeper, you'll hear it when someone flushes. With that said, the house was stocked better than any rental I've stayed at. Plenty of towels, robes, kitchen supplies, etc. The host was very quick to respond to texts and the property was well maintained. The hot tub was sparkling clean and ready to use when we showed up. My only other minor gripe is that the queen beds were up against wall, so if two people are sharing the bed, makes it difficult for the person next to the wall to get out of the bed without disturbing the other person. Plenty of parking (we had 4 cars there), good outdoor spaces. Only 1.5 mi to the plaza, sidewalk most of the way.

This home worked well for a week with 7 family members. It was comfortable and clean with lots of supplies and nice open areas inside and outside for visiting.. One of the best parts of this rental is the owner who is easy to communicate with and responsive to requests.
