About this house rental
This vacation property is a good starting point for excursions in the Languedoc: from the Canal du Midi to the banks of the Orb or among the vineyards. Discover the many scenic beauties of this region: the regional nature park of Haut Languedoc with its mountains, rocks, transparent rivers rich in fish as well as the lush Mediterranean nature. Everything is within easy reach.
Beautiful picturesque villages are located in the surroundings: Roquebrun, Cessenon-sur-Orb, St Chinian, Pierrerue, Cébazan ... All 17 villages are worth a visit! Just a few kilometers from the sandy beaches of the Mediterranean between Béziers and Narbonne, Montpellier and Carcassonne! Nature is well preserved here and teeming with life: Fish, amphibians, small mammals and birds. The flora is in no way inferior: yellow iris and rushes are equally represented as well as the many typical Mediterranean species. The colorful hills and valleys are adorned with oak, almond, fig and wild olive trees, Spanish broom, orchids, thyme, lavender and rosemary provide a sea of fragrances. This beautiful nature produces delicious treasures, some of which are harvested from the roadsides and offered at the local market: Blackberries, figs, wild asparagus for omelets, leeks, garlic, fennel, salads and chestnuts.
Take a walk along the Canal du Midi, between the locks of Argens, a small village in the Minervois region, and the locks of Fonserannes (day and night program) at the gates of Béziers. The Canal du Midi is lazily lost in the shade of plane trees in the middle of the vineyards of two great regional (Minervois and Saint Chinian) between magnificent wine castles. Due to its elevated position, the view is magnificent. On clear days you can see the Canigou massif and the legendary Mont Caroux.
