About this cabin rental
Captivating views of the Cohutta Wilderness Mountains surround you in this exquisite luxury log home. After catching your breath, one will soon agree that the name "A Little Piece of Heaven" perfectly describes this hand-crafted custom-built home. The ultimate getaway is perfect for those who appreciate the finer things in life. Wow!! Definitely, the first word that will come to mind when you walk in the front door. Whether you choose to look at the lodge-style furnishings, the floor-to-ceiling fireplace, or the expansive views, you will be in awe at this long-range view.
The kitchen, with custom cabinetry and stainless appliances, will exceed any chef's expectations. The open floor plan contains a breakfast bar that seats up to four people and a handcrafted log dining table for four. Sit on the oversized leather sofas and watch the "game", relax by the fire, or simply settle down for a nap. Located on the main level, the large master bedroom has its own master bath with a tiled shower and double vanities. For those wanting to wander outside and enjoy nature, there is a large screened-in porch with a wood-burning fireplace and dining table.
Located upstairs is a small area with a desk. The perfect place for those who need to put in a few hours of work. Also, two spacious bedrooms allowing ample room for privacy and personal space are located in this upstairs area. Make your way down the stairs to the terrace level. Here you can challenge your family and friends to a game of pool. Watch TV, lounge on the sectional sofa, or grab a drink at the wet bar. There is also a fourth bedroom located on this level. Upon walking out on the terrace level deck, a bubbling, 7 person hot tub awaits. Hop in for a relaxing soak, sip a glass of wine, and gaze at the sun setting over the horizon.
You may never want to leave "A Little Piece of Heaven". As you enter the upscale gated community known as Big Sky, you may notice dragonflies skipping across the calm, quiet, and inviting pond. However, you may notice something jumping and creating ripples in the water; as this pond is stocked with fish native to this area. We welcome you to stop and take in this scene as you sit on one of the benches located alongside the pond. If you're looking for a little more activity in this development, there is a hiking trail that begins on this property. Prepare to see squirrels, birds, chipmunks, deer, and possibly an occasional black bear.
Once you have explored this area, you don't have to travel far to enjoy Zipline Canopy Tours or Adventure Trail Rides. Jacks River Falls and Jack River Trails are located approximately 7-10 minutes from this property in the Cohutta Wilderness Area. Take a drive through the Cohuttas from Hwy. 2 in Fannin County to Lake Conasauga in Gilmer County (Ellijay, Georgia). Depending on the season, you can visit Mercier Orchards and enjoy apple or strawberry picking, hot cider, hayrides, and mouth-watering desserts. All Bed Linens and towels are provided with this rental. The kitchen is stocked with utensils, pots, and pans. There are no food items, spices, or condiments provided.
You will be provided with 5 Kitchen Trash bags, 2 rolls of paper towels per Kitchen Sink, 3 packs of dishwasher detergent, 1 10 oz Gain or Tide laundry soap (6 loads), a small 2 oz bottle of body wash, shampoo, and conditioner per bathroom with tub or shower, and a bar of hand soap per bathroom sink, 2 rolls of toilet paper per toilet. You will also be provided with a souvenir Willow Creek Cabin Rentals tote bag to take with you. Please make a note, this is a starter kit for your arrival. If you require more essentials, you will be required to purchase those. No more items will be brought to the property.

I booked this gorgeous house for my parents to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary together. The entire process couldn't have been easier. The hosts were AMAZING to work with in answering questions and easing my concerns for their stay. They loved every minute and couldn't have been happier spending this time together, enjoying the beautiful views and access to nearby activities. THANK YOU for making this SO easy and memorable for them!

Overall, the build quality of the home, layout, and amenities were excellent. View excellent! It would have been nice to have side tables on both sides of the bed in the master. The coffee maker needs either a good cleaning, or should be replaced. Some of the sheet pans should be replaced. A larger cutting board would be nice to have. The knives are no longer sharp. There is a bulb missing in the lamp on the chest of drawers in the master. There was something sticky on the floor between the reclining chair and the wall in the living room. The shock absorber for the screen door from the patio to deck needs to be replaced. The mountainside is starting to spill onto the driveway. All minor, and overall really an excellent experience.
One major complaint: 1MB Internet? Seriously, I cannot believe it's possible to even get 1MB Internet service these days. I thought perhaps there was a problem as we could not get enough bandwidth to even do web browsing without interruption, so I called TDS and they confirmed the service paid for is limited to 1MB. Yikes! You really need to offer at least 10MB service in a home of this caliber. Despite all else being excellent, I had to drop my responses in some areas to four stars because of this issue. We would love to rent this or a similar property next year, but unless the Internet is improved, we would consider alternatives.
