About this house rental

Newly renovated 2 bedroom one bathroom area in my home. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom has a double bed. This space can comfortably sleep 4 guest. Enjoy all the amenities of home.... relax on a modern leather sectional, 50 inch Flat screen TV with cable, electric fireplace with a heater, , free WIFI. Relax in an outdoor seating area off your entrance with a propane bbq . Everything you need for a perfect get away!
The suite is located 10 mins from the ferry and a quick 10 mins to the Airport. A beautiful beach within a 5-10 min walk down the street. You can easily walk to downtown Sidney in about 20 mins where you can enjoy shops , restaurants, cafes, movie theater and the ferry to the states.

The suit worked great for us. Good size and location. Had everything you need. If anything there are two things that could have been better: 1. Mattress in main bedroom is super squeaky and 2. Although we had great weather sitting outside wasn’t very appealing to us .

When our original booking for the island fell through with only a few weeks to go before arriving, the number of available properties on short notice was limited. We wound up in Sidney instead of a location further inland as planned. That said, the location of this unit worked out great as we spent more time exploring Sidney than we would have otherwise.This is a few minutes from the Ferry, and is a short drive to the harbour. The unit is functional and clean. The kitchen does not have a conventional stove, but does have induction cooktops and a countertop oven, as well as a BBQ in the driveway. The host left breakfast supplies for us in the fridge, which was a nice touch. The queen bed was very noisy, with springs groaning/grinding anytime someone rolled over, got in/out of bed. Also, as this is the lower level of a house and the owner resides upstairs expect to hear footsteps and occasional voices from above. This was not excessive, but if you live alone in a detached house it will take a bit to get accustomed to! Overall, it was a good, functional property to rent.

The property was quiet. Everything was well thought of and in good condition. Easy to get to from the ferry and a quick drive to the downtown core of Sydney. The four of us slept like kings. Plenty of tv channels if you have spare time from touristing the beautiful Victoria area. The owner was friendly and explained everything well. As a bonus he has a collector car we admired. He was thoughtful with provisions. Will Definetly stay here again. Highly recommend, just try not to book when we book, hahaha. Ten out of ten.

This is an excellent suite that provided a wonderful stay We had everything we needed--easy parking, stocked kitchen, quiet location, extra towels and bedding, access to laundry and wifi, friendly host. Truly a gem that made our trip with a 7-year old the best family vacation we've had so far.

We had a great stay at this place with no complaints! Quiet and comfortable. Nicely decorated and clean, with breakfast items in the fridge for us to use. We didn't rent a car so it was good to have breakfast items in the house, prior to us going out and exploring. . We took taxi to Butchart Gardens and then found out that we could have taken the bus for much cheaper!! It was close to the airport and close to the ferry to Salt Spring Island where we spent the rest of our time. Thanks, Dave for a good stay.

This cozy basement apartment is just minutes away from downtown. It is quiet, safe, and the perfect spot to come back to after exploring Sidney and surrounding areas. This rental comes fully stocked with kitchen appliances and even had basic supplies like milk, eggs, butter and muffins so you can enjoy a quiet breakfast and espresso without having to leave! Ample hot water, soft beds and a fireplace in the living room makes this the best find. Been here twice now and will definitely be staying on my next trip.

Great area in Sidney. Easily accessible. Fairly close to water and Sidney Pier amenities. Well stocked with extra personal care products and food items such as condiments, etc. The first step into the suite was challenging and perhaps should have a small step build to aid shorter people or anyone whose mobility is limited. Overall we would return another time. 😄 Thank you.

Great spot in a quiet neighbourhood. 2km to the downtown area, which if you can’t walk it has plenty of parking. The space was nice and clean and had everything we needed. The host started us off with fruit, eggs, cream and English muffins which was a nice surprise! We would definitely stay again. One word of caution, the step down into the space is a big deep for short legs and bad backs so be careful!

The accommodations were good - clean and the space was welcoming. Some noise transfer from upstairs but not to the point of disturbing - I am sure we made just as much or more noise when the Oilers won game 5!! Dave provided a "starter kit" for breakfast which was very kind of him. We enjoyed our stay. Location was OK. You really need a car to get around Sidney from there.

The inside of the property was well maintained and had everything you could possibly need. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was further away from downtown than we expected but we certainly made the best of it. The patio area was very disappointing. The picture on the website made it look so much more attractive. We had a brief interaction with the owner as we left but otherwise it was quiet.

Sidney by the Sea was great. Breakfast ingredients were provided. The beds were comfortable, the host was friendly. There was also a great coffee machine, providing fresh ground coffee. Buchart Gardens is fairly close as is Victoria in general. We enjoyed our stay.

Check-in and check-out was easy. We loved the inside. It was very clean and had a nice layout of rooms. It was very spacious and the beds were comfy. We had everything we needed like towels, breakfast food like eggs and bread, cutlery, plates, cups, coffee. TV had cable and Netflix. It's near the airport and Patricia Bay highway so we had no problem coming in and out. It's close to the tourist attractions by car. Everything was within 30 minutes. It is a very nice home to stay in when visiting Victoria Island. :)
