Stylish apartment with a beautiful garden, 5 km to the beach

We had a nice week in Dolcedo, a beautfiful, very nice and quiet village in the mountains approx 5 km from the coast. Imperia is close for the groceries in big supermarket(s). From there you can easliy reach San Remo, Menton, Savona and Monaco. The appartment was spacious, clean and nicely decorated with everyting you need: washing machine, fridge, a good kitchen, etc. The beds were not so comfortable (you can feel the springs in the matrasses) and also the couches were very hard to sit. Further, the nice and spacious garden is not directly attached to the appartment, but a few meters walk. Very fine equipped with tables, relaxing chairs and even a hammock to swing! Enough trees to find a nice spot in the shade during a hot Italian day. BBQ is there to grill you're own food. We had a very nice time in Dolcedo, with a higher comfort of bed and couch we would rate at 5 stars!

We had a lovely week in Dolcedo. The village is interesting and nice to while away an hour or two. It was also fairly well placed for trips to the beach which we did on a number of occasions. We liked that there were a few restaurants to choose from for evening meals which saved us cooking. The apartment did have everything that we needed and was nicely presented. The washing machine was particularly welcome and we did enjoy sitting in the garden (under the shade mostly!). We did feel that the bathroom was fairly basic, perhaps a little 'tired'. The sofa and chair, albeit lovely to look at, weren't for us, that comfortable. Whilst one of the bedrooms didn't have an external window, it was much more peaceful than the other. It's worth noting that bed linen and towels are not included as standard.

We have stayed 3 times in Casa Brabido over the last 2 years and we really enjoy it every time and will keep coming back. The apartment is really beautiful, very stylish (and very clean) with big spacious rooms and great views of the medieval village Dolcedo and olive groves. Wonderful flowers, lemon and orange trees and herbs create a delicious aroma in the garden and the atmosphere is just lovely and peaceful. Our kids enjoyed to explore the surroundings and play by the little stream near to the house. A 2 minute walk will take you to the very charming small village of Dolcedo – beautiful buildings, old partly roman bridges, a wonderful big church. You will find here good groceries, two very good butchers, a little, but nice market (on wednesday), good restaurants and pizzerias - a lot of which will tempt you with homemade pasta, delicious pizza, ice cream and other Italian specialties! We cannot recommend this place enough. If we could we wouldn't go back home again...

From the very start all was well. Mauro (Landlord/owner) arrived within 5 minutes of phoning him. The handover was quick and simple. I had forgoten my iron and one was provided straight away (thanks Mauro). Before he left he gave us 2 bottles of his home made wine which was very good (can we buy some off you next time!!). The apartment was superb and everything was catered for, the decor and design were very stylish and gave you a real holiday feeling. We were together with 2 more family members and there was more than enough space. What more can I say, my wife and I will certainly go back again and I can highly recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable stay in Dolcedo. I have only one criticism, the internet connection. It is not what you expect after reading the write up; there is no individual internet connection in the apartments. However, there is an internet room at the rear of the building which has a laptop in it for your use. If you are very internet reliant then it isn't very pleasant to sit in, if you're not internet reliant then it wont bother you. Thank you very much Katja and Mauro. David and Petra
