Finca Las Polinarias Cave House in Fasnia

Staying at this finca was a peaceful and grounding experience. Tucked into the hillsides outside Fasnia, the property is built into a series of caves—something I’d never experienced before—and it immediately felt like a private sanctuary. Each cave has its own purpose: a cozy master suite with a small kitchen and full bath, a second bedroom with its own ensuite, a BBQ kitchen for outdoor meals, and even laundry facilities. Everything was thoughtfully arranged and stocked with essentials, making it easy to settle in and feel at home.There are three outdoor living spaces, each on a different level, and each offering its own perspective of the landscape. The views are absolutely stunning, you can see all the way to the ocean, with nothing but quiet all around. It’s the kind of place where you can truly unplug, breathe deeply, and let time slow down.The road leading up is narrow and winding, and I’d recommend taking it slow—especially if you’re used to wider roads. But honestly, that little adventure is part of the charm. Once you arrive, the serenity and uniqueness make it all worthwhile.If you’re looking for a stay that’s off the beaten path, full of character, and wrapped in nature’s quiet beauty, this is it.

If you're looking for a place to recharge your batteries this is it. Took a bit of finding (keep going to end of the road when you turn onto Camino del Chamizo) and the roads are very steep, but was worth the effort. The house is well equipped and spacious. The views from the outside area are spectacular. Would definitely recommend a stay here and we will hopefully be back.

we had a lovely time in this cave house. everything we needed was there. the road to get there is narrow and steep, but we got used to it. the terrace was mostly sheltered from the wind, which was great to eat outside.

The cave is nice, tranquil and peaceful location. No shopping center or village nearby. Dependent on car and driving to/from the location. The main issue is that the roads to the cave are very narrow, difficult to drive with no street lights, or appropriate signs. With a small car, the engine also struggles to drive on the steep slopes (gear 1 - 2) and the drive from the highway is more like 30 minutes, in particular for drivers who have not driven on Tenerife or small countryside hillroads. We advice guests to find out more about how to get to the location by car and carefully advice to look at the narrow roads on hillsides.
