We are happy to have opened our home back up for your enjoyment and will continue to adjust our policies as needed to assure the best experience for you, our guest. Due to a shortage of employees, from time to time we may need to remove our instant booking option so that we can guarantee availability of cleaning staff between our reservations. This beautiful 2BR/3BA home has an open floor plan and full service kitchen which makes it perfect for a couples' getaway or family fun-filled vacation. The large yet cozy great room includes the kitchen, dining area and den with stone fireplace (gas) and plenty of seating. There is a beautiful view of the river out of the large picture windows. The wrap around deck has outdoor seating and overlooks the Watauga River with its out-cropping of rocks and abundant wildlife.
Two master bedroom suites, each with queen beds and their own large private baths, sleep 4 adults comfortably. The living room also has a queen size sleeper couch.

Charcoal Grill on deck
Broadband Internet with WiFi
TVs in living room and bedrooms with cable TV services and Netflix.
For security purposes we have three exterior security cameras - one covering each entrance to the house.

This is the most beautiful house sitting next to the river multiple decks on the outside one on each master suite with a fireplace open floor plan great stock in the kitchen. Everything‘s always clean. Everything is always on point. You don’t need for anything except to come, bring your clothes and enjoy! Best hostess ever there for any questions which are only one or two, and if you go to relaxation recommend it to anyone.

We stayed at this house when we came up to visit my son for ASU’s family weekend and really enjoyed our stay. The house is only about 15 minutes from campus, so it’s quite convenient. The house is large (but cozy), has comfortable furniture, and has the most amazing view/access to the Watauga River. It reminded me of a quaint bed and breakfast. The house was well-labeled to explain things such as how to lock the doors, how to work the heating and cooling, and all light switches are labeled. I thought this was a very helpful touch. All the instructions and descriptions on the listing were accurate. 2 things to be aware of: a few starter items are provided (dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent pods, hand soap in bathrooms), but no bathroom toiletries (shampoo, soap/body wash) are provided. Not a big deal, just something to know when you are packing. The other thing to know is that trash has to be carried out to the can outside that has to be locked up. When we went to throw trash out, the can was completely full, so we had to just bring our trash with us and dispose of it on our own. It was slightly inconvenient but not a huge deal. We really loved our stay at this house and highly recommend staying here!

We were looking forward to our stay at this property because of its location on the Watauga River. We have driven by this property hundreds of times because we usually stay in Vilas. The interior was clean and comfortable, but very outdated and could use some upgrades. Where we were disappointed was with the exterior. This home is on a beautiful property, but it has not been maintained. We went there for the River, but it was very difficult to get to it because the property is so overgrown. The exterior of the house was extremely dirty. We had to clean the decks and furniture before we could even use them because of all the spider webs and spiders. Once we did that we were able to enjoy sitting outside and listening to the River. This property has the potential to be a beautiful getaway, but needs a lot of TLC.
