OCEANFRONT Frisco - Tides Edge Ct. - Welcome to LUCILLE’S BOARD SHACK, a vacation rental with enviable ocean views. At the southern end of Frisco, you are perfectly located to enjoy both the Atlantic Ocean, accessible by a direct path, and the calm waters of the Pamlico Sound. Stand on the top deck and watch your family play in the private swimming pool, or soak under the stars in the 6-person hot tub. Coming back from a day on the sand? Two outdoor showers are here to rinse off the salt, while another in your group prepares the day’s fresh catch on the fish cleaning station before you enjoy a meal together hot off the grill.
Inside, enjoy the game room with pool table, full size refrigerator, and large flat screen TV and DVD player. A bedroom with pyramid bunk is located nearby along with a convenient full bath. The mid-level of the home provides more bedding options including a queen bedroom with private handicap friendly bathroom featuring a roll-in shower, a king master bedroom with jacuzzi tub and walk-in shower, a second queen bedroom and a bedroom with 2 single beds that share a hall bath. All bedrooms in the home provide a TV and BluRay player and all but the bunk bedroom provide access to an oceanfront deck with beautiful ocean view. The wash/dryer are conveniently located on this level.
Step up to the top level to appreciate the beautifully furnished great room with vaulted ceilings and stunning ocean views through the wall of tall windows and sound views from the west-facing windows. Comfortable seating surrounds the wet bar alongside the large screen home theater system. The kitchen is well-appointed for preparing meals with plenty of counterspace. Along with a breakfast bar, there is a dining room with dining table and a four seat table adjacent to the kitchen to seat the entire group, providing an elegant and private dining experience. A slider provides access to the oceanfront deck for after-dinner conversation in the salty sea air.

Everything was perfect for our stay. We were close to stores and a cute little coffee shop. Everything was a big hit for us it would be hard to pick one thing that was the best. The view was amazing and more than enough space for all of us. We would love to go again some day!

Pros: Location! My family (Me, hubby, daughter, Sister, BIL, 2 older kids, Grandma and Grandpa), loved the layout. It was perfect for parents wanting to sleep on the same floor as the kids, with privacy for grandparents and an extra room on bottom floor. Main living area is larger than it appears in pictures and was also great for a large family, as was the dining room. Ocean and sound views and beach access were wonderful.
Cons: House needs some serious updating. Furniture and fixtures are very worn, some almost falling apart. Old, bad carpet in bedrooms is covered with rugs and needs replaced. When we arrived on Sunday, all blinds and vents were were dusty and/or mildewed. Housekeeping remedied this the next day, and it made a huge difference. For the price, it really needs updated. If it was, I would definitely stay here again.
