About this villa rental
Set in a green oasis in the center of Rome and in the immediate vicinity of the ancient Roman road "Salaria", which leads you in 15 minutes to the heart of the city (Villa Borghese), is an elegant and spacious country villa Simone.
Enjoy this spacious, newly renovated and tastefully furnished villa with 130 sqm living area, 80 m² covered veranda and 30 m² terrace.
The house is completely fenced and access is by an electrically controlled gate (remote control).
The villa has all the comforts. Air conditioning throughout the house and in every room and wireless high-speed Internet connection.
The 3 bedrooms are bright and spacious, two of them with adjoining balcony. The first includes a large double bed for 2 people, the second two single beds next to each other and the third a single bed in 2 single beds (trundle) can be converted. The 2 bathrooms each have a window and are fully equipped, each with a full bath with shower, toilet, bidet and washbasin.
Modern, spacious and open plan kitchen, fully equipped with a large gas stove, 2 sinks, large fridge, oven, and all major electrical appliances such as dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, milk frother, toaster, kettle etc. In addition, there is a laundry room with Washer available.
The enchanting garden, on an area of 2000 m² of space for relaxing, reading and eating outdoors under the shade of Mediterranean plants and trees of all kinds. The corresponding tufa caves invite you to play, relax or artistic activity. Villa Simone has inside of the property over several internal parking, and 2 covered garages.
SHOPPING
Near the house are also the supermarket "Castoro" with organic section, a pharmacy, bank, several restaurants to find. In addition, the largest shopping center of Rome called "Porta di Roma" is with 220 shops, cinemas, international restaurants etc. just 2 km away.
From the shopping center Castoro, a few steps from the house, we know that it is open in addition to the usual times, Sunday morning. We are happy to get you on request in advance your breakfast ingredients, which then already waiting in the house for you. We gladly accept your wishes
GETTING THERE
You can reach Villa Simone in different ways.
Train: the house is only 200 meters from the Fidene station, direct train line Fiumicino Airport and Tiburtina train station with Metro connection.
Car: 1 km away is the ring road (highway GRA), which provides easy access to the city and its surroundings. The connection to the A1 Milan - Florence - Naples is around 1.5 km.
Check-in: 14. 00 - 20. 00h (an additional 30 € for check-in between 20 00-24 00h.)
Check-out: before 11. 00h
Individual travel-resp. Departure times are negotiable, possible.
TRIPS
The center of Rome can be reached in 20 minutes by car (car park of Villa Borghese) or in 10 minutes by train (station Tiburtina).
From Tiburtina railway station you can use the subway available to comfortably move within the city of Rome. In addition, the cities of Florence can be reached in 1:20 'and Napoli in 1:30' from Tiburtina station.
The surrounding area of Rome is well worth seeing: Visit the place Castel Gandolfo (Pope's summer residence) and be pleasantly surprised by the enchanting backdrop of Lake Albano in the Castelli Romani enchanted (35 km). Also the town of Frascati (34 km) and Tivoli (37 km) with the Villa Adriana and Villa d'Este are well worth seeing. Recommended are trips to Ostia Antica (45 km), the ancient Roman port city, followed by swimming fun on the 20 km long sandy beaches in Lido di Ostia. The beaches of Rome are 3/4 hours drive away.
The city center is indeed very compact, and the entire attractions are wonderful to combine walking with each other. Only the Vatican is a bit outside, which is to be reached by metro, however, and can be combined very well with the Castel Sant'Angelo.
Basically, the sightseeing bus (leaving from Termini station for € 18 / person) is very useful to get an overall glimpse of the city. He stops at every important characteristics and then goes up even to the Vatican to get out, which is very pleasant.

This is an absolutely amazing to stay… felt like a home away from home. The check-in was seamless as was the checkout and the assistance in between was exceptional. I highly recommend this property.

We enjoyed our stay in Villa Simone! It is an easy travel by train and Metro to the city centre which takes about 40 to 60 minutes depending on the site you wish to visit (incl. Walking).
The house is located close to the train station which makes it easy to walk there but you will also hear the train and traffic when sitting outside. This did however not disturb us too much. The house is very well equipped and was very clean. There are also a few restaurants in walking distance. We enjoyed the food in Il Bivacco, can recommendate! All in all a great place to stay and explore the wonderful city of Rome!

Kitchen has everything you would need if you like to cook...and we do! House is spacious-House is secure with fence -gate-lights and fence and hill surrounding it.
There are huge metal shutters on each door and window that must be locked and shut whenever u depart. Takes some getting used to. The house has marble floor throughout. The floor is freezing and I highly recommend a large nice area rug at least in main living room so u don't have freezing cold feet. We stayed a month- The yard is nice but the planters on patio shown on VRBO are filled with weeds...I'd recommend having a gardener tend to it and look more attractive year round. It would not take much effort. The house is supplied with plenty of towels. Both bathrooms are very nice. There are many books and they have a washer and dryer in basement. We are from America-we only speak English. It would have been nice to have instructions on things in English also instead of Italian. We have traveled to Italy many times n Rome several...in the last 14 years. I have to say Rome has gone downhill. Horrible Graffiti on every single thing and trash littered everywhere throughout the country side of Rome even where we were staying. It's disgusting! We would never return to Rome if you paid us...We choose this house because it was close to the train station-We were mugged 3x in one week on train system. My husband lost everything! Police could care a less! They just shrug their shoulders-

We enjoyed our 2 week holiday on outskirts of Rome. It was a nice spacious and comfortable bungalow that is very close to a train station and bus stops connecting to Rome and surrounding areas as well as the Marco Simone Golf Course. Pascale met us and also helped us get an early departure at the station. We thoroughly recommend it.
