3 Bedroom, 2.5 bath, 2 Levels, Expansive Deck, Pool Table
Welcome to Blue Moon Lodge*, a Boone area log cabin, perched high atop a hill with beautiful long-range views. Best of all, you are just 10 minutes from historic downtown Boone, Appalachian State University and Valle Crucis. Sugar Mountain and Appalachian Ski Mtn are only 30 minutes away.
We love to host family vacations, birthdays, anniversaries, romantic get-a-ways, girls-weekends and ASU parents visiting students

This Tahoe style house has lots of room to spread out. There are two levels of indoor living space and a large wrap-around deck. The main level of the house features an open floor plan with dining and living areas and a fully equipped kitchen that seats ten. One wall contains large, two-story windows looking out to the valley and the Blue Ridge Mountains beyond. On the deck, you will find log chairs, custom rockers, picnic table and an outdoor grill. Just off the deck, sits our 3-man hot tub to enjoy the stars. And of course, a mountain firepit awaits to roast marshmallows.
Back inside, the first level is assembled in an Arts and Crafts style, with hardwood flooring and natural finished tongue-and-groove paneling in the cathedral ceiling.
The living area contains a stacked-stone fireplace with gas logs, leather sofas and armchairs, a 37" Roku smart TV, and an impressive Proline billiard table. Beyond the living area is the master bedroom with with it's own romantic gas fireplace and deck. Two windows set into warmly paneled walls, a king bed piled with pillows, and a master bath with shower and jetted jacuzzi tub.
Upstairs you will find two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. They share a shared Jack-and-Jill bath with shower & tub.
Blue Moon Lodge offers something for everyone in the family, with mountain views, billiard table and more, all in a lovely setting that is peaceful and still convenient to area attractions and events. *This property was formerly known at Mockingbird Mountain.

This place is just incredible. Between the breathtaking views, the pool table, the hot tub, the porch with rockers where we read our books, the grill where we made amazing steaks, and closet full of games we could have never left the cabin! We did venture out to Hawksnest though where we spent part of the day snow tubing! What a great escape. Our Blue Moon hosts were so fantastic in making sure our stay was perfect!

Check in very easy. Getting to property easy minus large washed out gully in drive way- definitely need larger truck/vehicle to go across to not drag. House was good inside. Had to run dishwasher couple of times with coffee mugs and frying pans to clean—- maybe cleaners thought dishwasher had been run or renters did not put in dishwasher cleaner. Hot tub had not been serviced. Crumbs in lazy susans. Left a day early. It was okay . Will not return.
I will say owner quick to respond but I am queen of cleanliness and will not send every tiny issue to owner as it is their property and they maintain to their standards.
