About this house rental

Olympic Foothills Lodge — A Tranquil Mountain Retreat for Families, Friends & Nature Lovers

Escape to the peaceful embrace of Olympic Foothills Lodge, a custom-crafted, two-story bungalow nestled among towering evergreens in the scenic foothills of the Olympic Mountains. Just outside of Port Angeles, Washington, and minutes from Olympic National Park, this spacious retreat offers a perfect blend of rustic charm, modern comfort, and outdoor adventure.

Whether you’re planning a multi-family vacation, a nature-focused getaway with friends, or a quiet retreat to unwind and recharge, Olympic Foothills Lodge is your serene sanctuary on the Olympic Peninsula.

The Lodge: Spacious, Cozy, and Perfect for Groups

With accommodations for up to 16 guests, the Lodge features 4 well-appointed bedrooms, a large loft, and 5 full bathrooms—including one with a traditional hot rock sauna. The master suite is located on the main floor, providing added privacy and convenience. Upstairs, the bedrooms and loft offer flexible sleeping arrangements for families and groups of all sizes.

This is not just a place to sleep—it's a space designed to gather, relax, and reconnect.

Gourmet Kitchen & Dining Spaces

The gourmet kitchen is fully stocked and ready for everything from pancake breakfasts to multi-course dinners. With high-end appliances, generous counter space, and cookware galore, it’s a joy for home chefs.

Enjoy meals at the large indoor dining table for ten, or take it outdoors to the wrap-around covered porch, complete with a gas BBQ grill and cozy seating area—perfect for morning coffee or sunset dinners.

Unplug, Slow Down, and Reconnect

The lodge is intentionally designed without TVs, encouraging guests to disconnect from screens and tune into nature, creativity, and each other. Instead, you'll find a library stocked with books, a game table for cards and board games, and a baby grand piano in the parlor for spontaneous music and reflection.

With free WiFi throughout the home, you can still stay connected when needed—but we highly recommend taking a break from the buzz.

Spectacularly beautiful property in a spectacularly beautiful location. Every detail is covered. You could easily just spend your entire vacation right at this spot. But of course it works great for exploring Olympic National Park as well as the Sequim/Port Angeles area. Our group of 3 couples had ample room, and each couple had their own bathroom and additional bathrooms off the living area. Badminton, corn hole, fire pit, hot tub... huge kitchen with a directory for every item (and it has every kitchen tool/utensil/etc you may need!). I could go on for pages, but Steve and his crew run a magnificent property. We would definitely return!

We loved our stay at the Olympic Lodge! The weather did not cooperate for a few of our outdoor adventures, but at least we had a lovely, comfortably, well thought out, beautiful home to come back to and enjoy. Steve and staff have thought of literally everything that one might need to make a memorable stay. From a well stocked kitchen with condiments and spices, plenty of plates and silverware for a crowd, to games and puzzles and even bedside night stands equipped with cough drops. The hot tub was great and we roamed the trails around the property. Deer frequented the yard.Unfortunately, the sauna is/was out of commission at the moment. Note, there are no TVs in the house, which was fine for the adults, but a tough pill for the kids and if you plan on doing much on your laptop for work or other, you may be unpleasantly surprised. The internet speed is super rough. But you’re on vacation, tell your boss you don’t have a good connection and unplug ;-)

We enjoyed the spaces throughout the house and the outdoor setting. It would be a great place to stay and turn out the world. We were in town for our daughter’s wedding and didn’t spend much time there aside from showering and sleeping.

After the one-half mile drive on a gravel road, we were pleasantly surprised by the wonderful lodge in the park-like setting. Spacious and well-equipped, the owner guides you through the process of operating and using the amenities of the home with an abundance of point-of-use signs, from labeling the hot and cold on the kitchen faucet to opening the cover on the hot tub. Guests also get to know the owner's family through photos and a trophy quilt; all are very lovely and homey touches. If you are a national geographic aficionado, there are several volumes of vintage years to thumb through and many outdoors/travel coffee table tomes. Overall, it's a great home to chill in for several days or weeks.

We had a great stay at Olympic Foothills Lodge. Great place to get together with family. The outside area was great for sitting around the fire, taking a dip in the hot tub and playing lawn games. We loved the fun trails behind the house as well. Inside the kitchen had everything we needed and was spacious for all of us to eat and hang out. Thanks for all of the detail and lovely touches. Great jumping off point to see the Olympic Peninsula.

Beautiful property from the house to the land! Steve and his wife thought of Everything! So many little extras everywhere! So spacious and cozy. It was a perfect place to celebrate my parents' 50th! To top it off, a deer family came up to the house to say hi as did the super friendly neighbor dog! If this place is available, book it!
