Alpine •air•B&B- A Charming •air•B&B in Downtown Helen, GA!

This was our second stay at this location. We loved so much we came back to get married and stayed here. Very private while in the middle of everything at the same time. We will definitely be stay here again.

Room is in a great location in center downtown, and within walking distance to most everything (restaurants, taverns, shops, etc). Must pay 10 daily to park in a lot to be close to room…but it is conveniently located and not much of a walk. Area attractions (i.e. Anna Ruby Falls and BabyLand General Hospital) are a short drive. The room has the basic amenities necessary for a pleasant stay and best suited for a couple. Most likely won’t spend much time in your room other than sleeping with all can do in this Alpine Wonderland Village Town.

The property was clean and very cute. We loved that it was in the heart of everything. I would recommend this for others.

First and foremost, the location of this property can’t be beat. Right in the center of town, but we had no issue with noise or disturbances. So easy to walk everywhere! The addition of breakfast at the Crepe Haus is also a thoughtful touch. The property itself, although very clean, has started to show its age. A few cosmetic touch ups would go a long way - cleaning marks and scuffs off the walls, patching nail/screw holes, etc. Since the property is older, everything is a bit smaller, the ceilings are lower, and it seems especially tight in the bathroom. May not be a big deal for some, but I am 5’11” and my husband is 6’5” so it was a bit unexpected since previous reviews had not called this out. As another reviewer mentioned, the rainfall showerhead is nice but tricky to manuever if you are trying not to get your hair wet. Based on personal preference, one of our largest issues was the bed. The mattress is pure foam and extremely soft. The pillows were well used, flat, and a little lumpy. All of the linens (all bedding, towels) were cleaned or sprayed with something heavily scented. It permeated our hair and pajamas, requiring some items to be laundered multiple times once we got home to get the smell out, so word of caution to anyone with allergies or sensitivities. General check in and out information was not proactively provided, but the host was very responsive when we inquired. Overall, the property would be decent for those with different preferences than us
