PLEASANT PLACE GETAWAY
HOME, SWEET, COUNTRY HOME!!
SECLUDED, Yet just 10 minutes away from First Monday Trade Days, this "PLEASANT PLACE" Getaway is peaceful, charming, and completely surrounded by nature.
This lovely 2 bedroom / loft / 2 bathroom home is completely furnished with linens, towels, and a full kitchen with a gas stove top and double ovens.
Bedroom #1 has a kingsize, fully organic mattress for a healthy nights sleep.
Bedroom #2 has a queen Murphy bed (pulls down from wall).
The downstairs 1 1/2 bathroom opens into the king bedroom and also into the hallway.
Upstairs, there is a loft (access via stairs, not a ladder), with a pillow top queen bed and a full bathroom.
The loft overlooks the kitchen / living area, with beautiful outdoor views.
There is a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. It is a Haverty's standard sleeper with upgraded mattress.
RATES listed are for 2 people. Each additional person is $15 per night.
You are welcome to try fishing in our pond but it is not stocked. There are small perch and we have occasionally caught catfish.
NO swimming (water activities) allowed NO using of pedalboat or kayaks
NO 4 wheelers, side by sides, dirt bikes, go karts are to be driven on property. Only regular passenger vehicles (no buses, no RV’s) allowed on property.
Our house is also on this property, approximately 100 yards (300 feet) from Pleasant Place Getaway. There is also a "visual" block (storage building) in between the 2 houses for your privacy.
This property is a wonderful family atmosphere. :-)
ADDITIONAL FEES WILL BE ADDED for unapproved pets and early check in, or more guests than what is stated in your reservation.
Check in is 3pm and check out is 11am. (10am on First Monday Fri/Sat.)
Late check out may be available upon request.
RATES ARE BASED ON 2 people. For couples (2 person stay and using downstairs only, I will deduct $40 of the cleaning fee).
Additional guests are $15 per night per person. Maximum 6 adults, 2 children under 12
FIRST MONDAY RATES ARE HIGHER.

We arrived late & GPS took us down the wrong road... Kerry came to get us & led us in the right direction. The house was clean & comfortable. Our smaller dog enjoyed hanging out. It really was a beautiful spot. Since we arrived after dark it was a beautiful surprise to wake up to. We didn't want to leave.

I stayed here a few days for a work trip (two coworkers and myself), and I wish we had more time to spend at the cabin! Very comfy, quiet, and well-accommodated. Communication with host was prompt, polite and helpful. They gave clear instructions/directions to get to the property (it is a bit off the main road, but that's a plus if you're looking to relax).I took the Murphy bed, and it was quite comfortable. My coworkers said the other two beds are even better, so you shouldn't have any problems getting to sleep here.The cabin has a lot of charm, the kitchen had everything we needed and more. The number of outdoor lighting options is impressive, definitely a fun spot to hang out. Hot water got hot in the shower right away, bathroom downstairs is nicely outfitted (barely saw upstairs, but I was told it was decent), and the living room area is welcoming.If you are looking to go someplace and be perpetually online, this is not for you. The house has older satellite internet (it's tough to get broadband this far off the grid) so it's best to just "hotspot" from your phone (T-Mobile gets decent 5G, Verizon barely 1 bar of LTE). I was able to do the necessary remote work without much issue, but honestly...if you are going to book this place just put the phone down, power off the laptop and enjoy the peace this place provides.It definitely lives up to the name "Pleasant Place," and the host goes out of their way to keep it that way. I am definitely considering coming back!

Property is terrific - clean and well maintained, nicely stocked, very peaceful location. Host was very easy to deal with. We definitely would stay here again!
