About this villa rental

Villa in a residential area with swimming pool overlooking the fort of Six-Fours and the harbor of Toulon, equipped with an alarm. Rest assured around the swimming pool with shaded areas on sunbathing. Villa of 150 m², all comfort. On the ground floor, large living room, sitting area and living room with American kitchen, all equipped; oven, microwave, induction hob, dishwasher, freezer, fridge, wine cellar. In the living room ; double convertible sofa, flat screen, internet connection. WC, utility room with washing machine and dryer. Upstairs ; two double bedrooms with individual bathroom and WC accompanied by a terrace with deckchairs. Outside, large terrace with sun loungers and garden furniture. Landscaped garden with secure swimming pool, and numerous deckchairs to enjoy the beautiful Mediterranean sun. La Seyne sur mer is a very centralized city and a starting point for many activities; first of all, the communal forest of Janas which is a protected site conducive to walking, cycling or even a tree climbing course. In addition, the Seyne sur mer has the most beautiful and large harbor in Europe and especially the largest natural beach in the department. Activities such as sailing, rowing, canoeing at sea, boat rental as well as jet ski possible only 5 minutes from the house. There is also an amusement park for children in the heart of a landscaped park and numerous restaurants which will introduce you to Provencal gastronomy. It is also the starting point for Toulon by sea shuttle and for the islands of Porquerolles protected and paradisiac site. The municipalities of Sanary allow you to go to the Embiez islands, the Golden Islands or the Blackcurrant creeks. The town of Bandol is very close so you can taste its famous great wines.

We stayed at the chalet St. Anne for one week. The communication beforehand was very convenient and Véronique showed herself flexible concerning our stay. The house looked exactly like on the pictures, nicely decorated and in a good condition. A friend of the owner, Pascale, gave us a tour of the house and handled the administrative affairs with us. She was very friendly and also speaks English. Unfortunately, the pool was very green. We were told that the pool would be clean by the next morning. After another three days the pool was still as green as on day one. The pool guy showed up about three times the entire week. Eventually we started cleaning the pool ourselves and already on the next day the pool was much cleaner, though still far from clean. This showed us that more could have been done, e.g. by changing the water. Therefore, we did not feel taken seriously. Furthermore, the house was not clean i. e. the toilets were dirty, the bins were sticky and smelled, there was a used coffee pad still in the machine etc. Since we had the inconvenience with the pool, we asked for compensation and were offered the rather small amount of 100€. After explaining the circumstances in detail and also sending some photos of the green pool, the owner then replied that she would show herself generous and then transferred 100€ anyway! All in all, if you are lucky, you may get a clean house with a beautiful pool, but in our case it was an unclean house and a green pool and on top of that a lot of hassle. Side note: in the contract it says that there is a 900 qm garden, this might just be a typo, but there is not.
