Large apartment. Front line beach, private parking, bicycles

A first class apartment with a spectacular view of the beautiful beach and promenade at Peniscola. Would highly recommend this apartment and location.

The property itself is perfect, both in terms of mod cons on offer, the standard, and the location facing the beach. The hosts were generous and hospitable and even got us an electric kettle when we enquired (being tea drinkers). I cannot recommend this place enough, and can't wait to come back! A big thank you!

We love this apartment. It's so spacious, well equipped with a great terrace overlooking the promenade and beach. Paco & Carmen are so friendly & easy to deal with (thanks to google translate!) Bianca, the housekeeper is great too, she comes in mid stay to change the towels & sheets. Peniscola is a busy Spanish holiday resort with a 3km long sandy beach with sunbeds and pedaloes for hire, there are plenty of bars, restaurants and ice cream parlours, lots of shops and several bike hire shops. The promenade runs from Peniscola to Benicarlo and is completely flat so perfect for jogging, walking, cycling, scooters, rollerskating or just promenading which is what most people do. The apartment is situated outside of the main town centre but there are still lots of restaurants, bars, shops less than a 3 minute walk away. The walk into town probably takes about 25 minutes but always takes us longer because we stop to look in shops, have a coffee, generally a leisurely stroll - but there is a regular bus service and there's always a taxi to bring you home if you go out at night and can't face the walk home. Even though some hotels and restaurants were closed due to COVID and the economic situation we thought it was still quite busy. Everyone was abiding by the social distancing rules, hand hygiene, mask wearing and it felt very safe. We would recommend this apartment to anyone for a fabulous and relaxing holiday.

Fabulous apartment in all aspects, spacious, well equipped, clean, great location right on the beach. Every room has it's own air conditioning control which is great. Satellite TV is also provided with English, French German channels available. There are 2 small pools but the beach is only 10 steps away. There is safe off street parking too. The front terrace is great for sitting having an evening drink to watch people walking or cycling past on their way into town. The apartment is situated right on the front line of the beach. There are sunbeds, umbrellas and pedalos for rent on the beach just in front of the apartment. There are several bars, restaurants and shops within a short stroll but the main centre of Peniscola is a good 40 minute walk along the promenade. However, there is a good bus service ( 3 euros return) and there are a couple of bike rental places which are very reasonable and hire bikes by the hour, day or week. The promenade directly outside the apartment runs from Peniscola all the way into Benicarlo and is completely flat, perfect for novice cyclists like us. Peniscola is a great place to explore especially the small streets around the castle. The views of the turquoise sea from the castle were fabulous. Peniscola is a Spanish holiday resort and you don't hear many English voices but most restaurants have menus in English or have pictures! Carmen and Paco were great hosts. We had to change our arrival day after an unfortunate incident with our car and they even offered to drive to Barcelona to help us out. Overall, we loved the apartment and Peniscola, we'll be back next year to explore more.
