Perched on the edge of Lake Decatur, this modern waterfront cabin retreat features panoramic lake views, cozy screened sunroom, deep‑water dock for swimming and fishing, private hot tub, fire‑table lounge for sunset cocktails, fast Wi‑Fi, smart TV, fully equipped kitchen, and nearby restaurants, shopping, and outdoor adventures minutes away.
Beyond the Path is a small, owner‑run collection of thoughtfully designed vacation rentals where every stay is personal, not just another rental. We focus on memorable details, quick communication, and genuinely warm hospitality so you can relax, feel at home, and know someone local truly cares about your stay.
As you arrive, you'll be greeted by the cabin’s striking A-frame silhouette, complemented by four different levels of panoramic lake views. The private dock invites you to step out onto the water, whether for a peaceful morning paddle or a leisurely afternoon of fishing. For added fun, a selection of water toys is available, ensuring endless aquatic adventures.
Step inside to find an inviting interior with comfortable, stylish furniture that exudes a warm, waterfront ambiance. The spacious layout promotes relaxation and easy living, while the multiple outdoor hangout spaces provide ideal areas for socializing or simply unwinding in the fresh air.

• Large full bathroom with double vanity and step in shower
• Comfortable Sleeper sofa (no metal frames)
• Screened three seasons room with Lake Views
• Washer/Dryer
• Dishwasher
• Drip Coffee maker/Keurig/Grinder- Starter amount of K cups provided
OUTSIDE:
• Hot tub with Lake views
• Upper deck with lounge chairs and Fire-Table
• Second tier deck with hot tub overlooking lake
• Third tier deck, huge entertainment space with Professional Cornhole and Dining table
• Lake level- Private dock, and additional seating
* 2 Kayaks and 1 Paddleboard provided (April 15-October 30)
SLEEPING SPACES:
• Primary Bedroom- Main level w 4 steps to access from the front door. Helix King bed, large dresser, walk in closet, sitting area, fan and bedside USB and USB-C. No steps to 1/2 bathroom.
• 2nd Bedroom- Loft, full spiral staircase up from main level. Casper King Bed, Queen Auto-inflate bed, Dresser, bedside USB and USB-C, ceiling fan. Loft is open to Living RM below which provides lake views. Closest bathroom is on Main level.
• 3rd Sleeping area- Lower level den. Queen "Koala" sleeper sofa. Not your ordinary sleeper, firm but comfortable and no metal springs so comfortable for all sizes of sleepers. 9 Steps down from front door. Four steps to access the full bathroom.
YARD SPACE
• Front yard- A small grass area not contained
• Very quiet street, great for taking the pups on a long or short walk
• Rear yard- One grass area, located 1.5 flights of steps down and is very sloped.
As a private small business owner, we do require a separate renters agreement and a deposit hold for each booking. We abide by all privacy regulations required for all online businesses and maintain a high guest satisfaction rating. Should you have questions regarding this, please reach out. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this lake house—it was, without a doubt, the most relaxing week of my entire year. From the moment we arrived, the peaceful, quiet atmosphere immediately put us at ease. The setting is absolutely serene, with beautiful, uninterrupted views of the lake that make it feel like a true escape from everything.
One of the standout highlights is the hot tub overlooking the water. Sitting there in the evening, soaking while watching the lake, was pure bliss. It’s the kind of experience that melts away all stress and makes you lose track of time in the best way possible.
And I have to mention the couch—because wow. It is unbelievably comfortable. The kind of couch you sit down on “just for a minute” and then suddenly wake up an hour later. It quickly became one of our favorite spots to unwind after a day by the lake.
I also brought my French bulldog, and she had an amazing time. The entire property is dog-friendly, which made the trip even more special. It’s not always easy to find places that are so welcoming to pets, and this one absolutely is. The entire property in the back is fenced in. So my dog could spend time at the lake and I didn’t have to worry about her chasing geese.
The house itself is incredibly well maintained—everything is clean, cared for, and thoughtfully set up. You can tell the owners take great pride in the space. They were also always available for any questions, which made the whole experience feel easy and stress-free. The kitchen had all of the utensils pots pans everything needed for cooking, the only thing we needed to bring with food to make.
I genuinely cannot wait to return. If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway with beautiful views and all the comforts of home, this place is perfect. I wish I could give it more than five stars. I will be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed the space for our girls' trip! The house is thoughtfully appointed and very clean. We would definitely stay at The Ridge again.
