Sweet 3 Bedroom, Walk to Main St!

Nothing fancy, but very comfortable and convenient. Updated kitchen and bath, good air conditioning and heat, and very comfortable beds.

This is our second summer staying in this small, but comfortable house. It was great to have a fenced-in outdoor area with a dog door for our golden retriever. The neighborhood was residential and within walking distance to the downtown area. Even though the house is older, recent renovations such as new mattresses, a smart TV, and a remodeled kitchen, made it a very comfortable stay. The communication with Amy was excellent and we appreciated the notebook of information and how to use the TV ! We plan to stay here next whenever we visit our daughter in Independence.

Had an easy time checking in, and it’s a walkable little area close to the main old heart of town. Nice neighbors all around, too! Worked perfectly for our plans (having 91 year old grandma for a nice quiet afternoon away from her retirement home to play games and have dinner with us like old times!). There are some always-out, constantly barking and very excitable dogs right next door. We love dogs and feel bad for them- they’re clearly bored and basically neglected, in terms of social contact. I’m sure they love their people. But with just a chain link fence btw yards, you’re not getting any peace in the back yard, including at night. They barked until 11 the first night we were there! Rental owners are great and communicative and did their best to talk to the neighbors, and the second night was definitely better. Don’t want the dogs suffering in any way, either. But light sleepers, dog-fearful folks, and those with dogs and kids should know what to expect. These are big dogs- German Shepherd types- and one looks like it could jump the fence if excited enough. It was NOT friendly when I approached the shared fence with treats, and it may have wanted to play with our little dog… but I think it had other ideas. Sorry- it’s a lovely place in general! Many folks will enjoy it no problem, I’m sure.

Our weekend in the sweet 3 bedroom home in Independence turned out to be everything we hoped for. It was easy to find with great parking. Close to stores and restaurants. The Welcome Book listed the restaurants our host had personally tried and recommended. We were delighted by her suggestions. The house was spotless and the kitchen had everything we wanted. Comfortable furniture and beds. Plenty of blankets. Individual heat settings in each room to suit everyone's needs. Our host Amy was quick to answer our questions. I would say that this is the very best VRBO we have ever stayed at. Looking forward to staying there any time we are in the area. Thanks Amy!!

The property was very nice and well equipped. The major problem was the next door neighbor's two dogs were barking and howling at all hours. This has been communicated to the owners. Amy and Robert were great tom deal with.

Great house and location for Christmas with our son and grandchildren. Everything was great. Really loved the ping pong table in the garage. Would definitely love to stay there at another visit.

Few hiccups with the check in process but overall a nice little house to stay in.

The house was super cozy yet roomy enough for all 6 of us, and I didn't even realize when booking it what a big back yard it had! perfect short walk to the coffee shops and breweries, will definitely be coming back.

Property was exactly like listed - had to arrive a day early and they were able to accommodate us — their knowledge of the surrounding area ( binder with suggestion rules & just info ) was helpful especially when it came to the food — can’t wait to come back -

The house is very clean and very comfortable. The ping pong table in the garage was an added bonus - my teen boys loved it. This was perfect for our stay while our high schoolers attended a track and field camp at Western Oregon.

We were at the Polk County Fairgrounds for the 150th Convention of the Oregon State Grange, Gone all day - nice kitchen to make breakfast living room to set in and discuss the day in the late evening Kitchen table turned in to 3 laptop workstation. WiFi was good even with 3 laptops running House was clean, neighborhood was quiet during sleeping time

We were in town for a wedding and this was the perfect house for our family of four. They had the best passcode/access to property system I’ve ever seen at a rental, so easy!

This property was just right in all the ways we needed. Close enough to town but not on a busy street. Parking was plenty and the space in the house was great. Nicely decorated and furnishings were quality. Thank you for making it easy to stay somewhere like home.

The house is wonderful and well-equipped. It is just a couple of blocks from the charming shops, excellent restaurants, museum, and river park & walk of Independence. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. The property owners were helpful and responsive. The yard is a lovely space for enjoying a chat or playing. Plus, there is a ping pong table in the garage which I loved!

This was perfect for us...even the dogs! It had everything we needed. Comfy beds. Fully equiped kitchen. Amy was so pleasant and accommodating. Great neighborhood. Peaceful and quiet. We'll definitely stay there again!

Great location easy walking distance to parks, shops, restaurants. House is very well equipped, clean, great entertainment options. Host responds almost immediately if issue arose. Would gladly stay here again in the future
