Wake up in the jungle with incredible ocean views from the pool, hot tub and every room in this luxury villa - the only house located in the famous nature reserve Miro Mountain. Enjoy this private and exclusive experience with monkeys and Toucans just outside your door while being a short 5 minute walk to the beach. Access is quick and easy to the centre of Jaco where all the shops, restaurants and bars can be found
Nestled hillside of one Jacoâs biggest attractions Villa Mariposa is a unique architectural gem. It boasts unparalleled views of the entire coast and skyline of Jaco with picturesque sunsets every night - a view is unreplicated anywhere else in the surrounding area. We are located at the foot of the mountain and our close proximity to the beach means you can hear the waves crashing every morning.
There are no neighbours (so noise is no issue) but there are plenty of visits from wildlife. The toucans are known to fly right up to the bedroom windows and there are often monkey sightings directly from the infinity pool.
It was a successful bed and breakfast for
many years and a sought after vacation rental. Now under new ownership, it now has been completely updated & renovated and has all the amenities and comforts of home. The kitchen has all brand new stainless appliances and is complemented by our custom 13ft. wood dining table which qcomfortably seats large groups. There is a fast Wi-Fi , 75 in flat screen w/ Netflix, a waterfall, pool table & brand new air conditioning units in all rooms.
The Miro Mountain hiking trail is an ecological gem. Photographers and nature lovers flock to this popular location which consists of a groomed trail that leads to abandoned ruins that have been decorated over the years with colourful art from international and local artists. On the path, it is common to encounter monkeys, toucans, macaws, frogs, iguanas and much more amazing nature.

âď¸We are at the very beginning of the hiking trail and the road entering the mountain is paved and 4 x 4 is not needed. There is designated parking but it can cumbersome if there are many vehicles so limit yourselves to 2 cars max

My family of 6 stayed here last week. The house was absolutely beautiful and Matthew went above and beyond in helping us to make this an amazing vacation. He handled any need we had quickly, helped to organize outings and coordinated chef and grocery deliveries seamlessly, truly the best host you could ask for. The location of the house is great and good restaurants near by. We hired chef Jonathon to cook for us 3 of the nights and he was also wonderful. The food was amazing and he went above and beyond! Our 4 teens and young adults had a wonderful time and loved hanging out playing pool. The view was incredible and the pool was perfect for us. This house is amazing and there was nothing Iâd change about this vacation!

We absolutely LOVED this house. This house has the BEST view of all of Jaco. The house was nice, clean, big, and a quick walk or golf cart ride to the beach. We did not want to leave. There is foot traffic below where people walk up Miro Mountain , and we enjoyed splashing the hot people below from the pool, and watching the macaws fly over. Most people walking past said âwow! Look at that house!â Itâs totally worth it for the pool/view/and Matthew. Matthew is so awesome! He was so helpful in arranging everything. All you have to do is ask, and he will get it done. If you donât choose this house you will regret it.

Five stars is not enoughFrom the very first moment to the very last, our stay was nothing short of exceptional. Matthew and Jessie are truly next-level hosts attentive, thoughtful, and involved at every single moment without ever being intrusive. As a group of six girls traveling together, feeling safe, comfortable, and fully taken care of was incredibly important to us, and they exceeded every expectation.They quite literally handled everything and I mean everything. From coordinating transportation to activities, to restaurant bookings, to experiences we didnât even know we wanted until they suggested them. Groceries? Delivered to the house in under an hour. Private chef? Seamlessly arranged. ATV rides, zip lining, restaurant reservations every detail was handled flawlessly, allowing us to truly relax and enjoy Costa Rica without a single worry.I want to specifically address something I had read in prior reviews about the house being âon a highway,â because that could not be further from the truth. The home is not on the highway. It is located off the highway, up a private road, on a hill, where no one can access the property by car unless they are meant to be there. It felt extremely private, secure, and peaceful.The house itself was absolutely stunning honestly even better than the photos, which I didnât think was possible. Beautifully designed, immaculate, spacious, and luxurious in a way that still felt warm and welcoming. Every single one of us was blown away!

Had issues with noise due to the proximity to the main highway. Semis use their J Breaks all day and night. Very loud. No place to hang clothes. Safes didnât work, air conditioner issues the first night. Ran out of paper products and the housekeepers took all the dish towels so we had nothing to clean up with in the kitchen. Hired a private chef so definitely challenging. Driveway pretty narrow and steep. Lots of people walk up the driveway to the hiking trail. The owner was quite responsive but the 9 of us thought we paid too much considering the issues. FYI, rats on the landing at night and no lighting on driveway. Did enjoy the pool, view and spa.
