Provence house near a Luberon village

Lovely owners and an excellent house to spend your holidays in the Provence.

Corinne and Nicolas expected us already on arrival and we got directly a full handover. We were wondering if the pictures are telling the truth. And they did. But if you enter the house on your own you get a much better impression and we were overwhelmed. The ground floor was that beautiful with large living room, bar, dining area and open kitchen. Corinne and Nicolas are using the house on their own therefore the house was equipped and groomed pretty well. The bedroom on the ground floor was extensive with own bathroom. WC separated. The first floor has its own bathroom and separated WC, too. The three bedrooms in first floor are equipped with two single beds and two double beds. To be considered that the double beds in the first floor are not larger than Queensize. We were ok with that. Outside you are entering a beautiful garden with pool and petanque place. We loved it. There is enough space and possibilities to relax just on the terrace including a dining area for 8 people. The pool was quite cold in October but clean. From the garden you have a direct view to Ansouis castle. Ansouis itself is a really nice small city and just a 5 minutes walk away. The house is a very good starting point to many nice cities and places in the Provence. The area itself is quite calm. So you can fully enjoy your vacation. We are already thinking about coming back next year again.

I am most pleased to highly recommend this property. My wife and I recently stayed for 2 weeks. Nicolas and Corinne were extremely helpful, before and during our arrival. Two days before we arrived, I expressed my concern about the weather forecast predicting record high temperatures for our stay. They had air conditioning installed by the time we arrived. The kitchen was well appointed and well stocked with staples. The outdoor gas grill is top of the line. The TV system and WiFi are both quite good. And I can’t say enough about the pool and the Petanque court. Photographs on the VRBO and Home Away sites can sometime be misleading but not in this case. The pictures don’t do this home justice…it’s more then we even hoped for. Ansouis is a charming little village within walking distance. Our favorite town, Cucuron, is a 5 minute drive…Lourmarin is 10 minutes…and most of the wonderful picturesque Provencal towns in the Luberon are less than an hour’s drive. We never had a bad meal…fabulous restaurants are all around. You should secure reservations during the high season, though we could always seem to find a satisfying meal even without prior planning.
