Absolutely gorgeous and completely comfortable. 100plus steps to the beach but worth the climb. We only used it for nights while we were at the Port Townsend Wooden Boat Festival but we would love to come back sometime and really take advantage of the whole place and everything provided.

I cannot even begin to describe how beautiful this location is. This hidden gem gave my family a peaceful getaway where we watched the eagles soar, bunnies and squirrels frolic, otters and fish jumping plus so many more lively activities out on the water!The home itself has plenty of dish wear and kitchen appliances to cook with. They have a great set up for kids of all ages (even for the kids at heart). The host family graciously provides additional luxury amenities like outdoor games, sand toys, games/puzzles, monoculars, shampoo, spices, teas, coffee, chocolate mixes and a welcome gift for adults and kids. We were spoiled!If I need another getaway, I’ll be looking to see if Sea Salt Cottage is available!

This is, without question, the best place we’ve ever booked. The house is cozy and charming, with the most breathtaking views imaginable—180 panoramas of sparkling water and majestic mountains. Members of our family literally said, “This is the prettiest place I’ve ever been!”An inviting staircase winds down the cliff to a completely secluded beach, where we found more sand dollars than we’ve seen in our entire lives. The kitchen was the best we’ve ever had in a rental—well stocked, thoughtfully laid out, and with plenty of space for our own groceries (a detail many rentals overlook).Our host was incredibly friendly and responsive, making the whole experience seamless. One day, we even skipped our planned mountain adventure just to “stay put” at the cottage—grilling, reading, and watching the sunset from this little slice of paradise.We truly cannot give this place a high enough rating. It’s a rare gem that we’ll be talking about for years.

Absolutely stunning views of the Olympic Mountains! The home was perfect. We fell in love with the kitchen, I would volunteer to do dishes all the time so I could out at that view! Fully stocked with anything you can think of to make a meal and drinks. The beds were very comfortable. All the details throughout made you feel at home and the photos do not do it justice. Adrienne was very responsive and we would stay here again!

Our family of 7 had the best time at the Sea Salt Cottage this summer! The house was perfectly appointed for us and our 5 children - they loved the bunk room, the loft, and all the toys and games. The swing and hammock were a part of our daily routine and we could not believe how easy and convenient it was to prepare and enjoy all of our meals from the kitchen to the grill on the patio. We spent most mornings combing the beach for seashells and sand dollars - WOW we have never seen so many sand dollar! You cannot beat the view! We saw submarines, sea lions, eagles, gorgeous sunsets and so much more! We felt so blessed to have much needed privacy and still be close enough to town for groceries and excursions! The view was stunning. We sat at the table looking out and talked for hours. The house was immaculate, well designed and perfect for our needs. We were in and out visiting local attractions. If the buoys on the mailbox were a brighter color, would be easier to see from the road. We drove past the driveway every time.

You can feel the love and care that has been put into Sea Salt Cottage as soon as you step in the door. This was the perfect place for my sister and I while we were visiting family in the area. The cottage felt like home and had everything we needed, as well as being super clean. The kitchen was fully stocked, the rooms were very comfortable, and the little touches throughout made it so special! My nephew's girls stayed with us one night and loved the hammock and swing, the beach, and especially the badminton game outside. We spent much of our visit enjoying the yard and the absolute tranquility of the beautiful view. Adrienne was a wonderful hostess, great communicator, and was kind and helpful throughout. We can't wait to visit again!

This was our first big trip with our < 1 year old baby and we couldn't have better things to say about Sea Salt Cottage and everything Adrienne does to make your stay perfect. The house is outfitted with everything you need as a family - a clean, new pack n play, a nice high chair, kids toys, really nice kitchenware, dishes, mugs, and even nice knives for cooking. We've stayed in a lot of places and this is truly one of the nicest places we've ever stayed - it felt like home from the moment we arrived. The house overall is beautiful and the property is amazing. We couldn't get enough of the view, the fire pit, hammock, deck, grill, etc. And while not pictured, the beach is great too. Tons to do in the local area while also feeling peaceful and secluded. We're already talking about when we can go back.

This was a great place for a comfortable, peaceful escape, and was only a couple of hours from Seattle. We were looking a spot that was fairly isolated and surrounded by nature, and this place has what we were hoping for. We got to see fish jumping and seals playing in the water, deer meandering through at sunset, expansive views, and enough space to have some alone time. Also, definitely one of the best stocked kitchens I've seen in a vacation rental (I love to cook). A few things to know: - just over 100 steps to the water, and a small path with a ramp at the end - wear foot protection on the beach as there are lots of shells and such - fishing and watersports craft aren't uncommon to see on the water, and the occasional passerby on the beach (we went in late summer) - smaller yard, but plenty of space with a lot of seating, a swing, hammock, deck, and table - very well-equipped kitchen with various cookware, reasonably sharp knives, a great selection of spices, etc. - fans to keep the air moving, enough windows to bring in lots of light and fresh air, and a lot of dimmable lighting - tons of comfortable seating inside

We had a delightful stay despite 2 days of rain. The cottage is tastefully decorated, well stocked and super clean. There are plenty of relatively easy hikes in the area, not to mention the beach below the cottage. We are reasonably fit 70-year olds and found the stairs to the beach easy to negotiate with the usual cautions (slippery when wet, etc). The staircase is a study in craftsmanship . Many thoughtful accommodations, like firewood and fire starters. We hope to be able to return someday.

Wonderful weeklong stay with two families including 4 kids under 10. This place is fabulous - very clean and well cared for, super well stocked esp in the kitchen, some toys for kids, games, etc. Beach is super fun with lots of tiny crabs and tons of shells to explore. Long set of stairs to get down but doable and well maintaine. Great view from the house of sound and ships/subs passing through plus sunset over the mountains. Yard is great with chairs, swing, and hammock. Adrienne was a great communicator. Would love to come here again.

Our family of 5 - 3 kids ages 17, 14, & 11 enjoyed our stay at Sea Salt Cottage. Our two youngest enjoyed playing on the beach and clamming at low tide. We used a nearby access point of the Kitsap Peninsula National Water Trail to put in our skiff to do some crabbing. We also enjoyed kayaking at midnight in nearby Port Gamble Bay to see the bioluminescent algae. This quaint cottage was perfect for some downtime as a family. We will certainly be back.

I've stayed in many VRBOs, and this one, by far, is the best. Adrienne's home was so well equipped. She thought of everything. From spices to blankets to throw over our legs on a cool evening, the home was so comfortable. Now let's talk view...we kept saying, "Wow, we could get used to this." It is truly magical to look out onto Hood Canal. Our adult children loved playing cornhole and badminton while we sat by an outdoor fire one early evening. It was a short drive to The Kingston House, where our son was married, a short drive to Safeway to pick up supplies, and there are several little towns close by to explore. For a full-day trip, Olympic National Park or the Pacific Ocean are within reach! Since our son and new daughter-in-law live in Seattle, we are already thinking of return trips to Sea Salt Cottage! I wish this place was closer to MI. Just what we needed after a non-stop adventure at Olympic National Park. This place had amazing views and we even got a chance to see a sub cruising the canal. The decor was incredible. We almost didn’t wanted yes anything since everything was so nice. Can’t wait return when we make it back in the area.

From the second we arrived at Sea Salt Cottage, we felt like we were transported to another world! The inside of the house was absolutely immaculate. Tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We instantly felt warm and welcomed. We saw humming birds, coyotes, eagles, herons, bunnies and all sorts of other furry woodland creatures. This place is truly magical and an apparent sanctuary for humans and wildlife alike!! The host is one of the kindest most attentive hosts, we have ever had.
