Sept 2025 - Fab 2 weeks staying at Villa Erase.Laureno & Muriel were super helpful setting up a WhatsApp group beforehand for any queries & providing details on finding the Villa easily & Laureno showing us around explaining everything we needed to know. The welcome pack is the best we’ve had & their home made olive oil was delicious especially on salads - yumThe Villa is in a fab location with views over the valley & mountains it is so peaceful with hardly any cars or people around. The night sky is superb to see stars & the Milky Way. The villa is just as described & as the photos. The kitchen has everything you need including a wide range of herbs, oils etc. The lounge & main bedroom are comfy the bed was so comfy we slept for almost 10 hours most nights. All rooms have air-con & the bathrooms have great rain showers with excellent hot water & pressure. The summer kitchen & plancha are fab we cooked lots of BBQ,s & fish really easily & having a fridge to chill the beers & sangria was great. The pool is just what’s needed to cool off after sunbathing on the beds the salt pool was a constant 25 degrees plus in early Sept. The villa is that great we hardly ventured out other than to restock supplies in Albox at the Mercadona supermarket & we visited the local monastery where the views are amazing.Highly recommend this villa it’s a gem in an amazing location

The villa is everything that is advertised and we had a wonderful stay at Erase Una Vez. The villa has everything you could possibly want, including a welcome pack. There is a stock of herbs etc, as well as soaps, washing up liquids etc. The villa is off the beaten track, with some hairpin mountain roads, however the roads are fairly quiet. The pay-off is the privacy and the night sky is amazing - we could see the milky way, and had a fantastic show of a meteor shower over 4 nights during our stay. The pool is warm from 9 - 10 am, there is also an outdoor shower to wash the salt off. With there being 2 kitchens and 2 fridge-freezers, there was plenty of room for our food and drinks. We all enjoyed the ping-pong table outside. There is a pool table in the summer kitchen, but it probably doesn't have quite enough room around it, to play well. There is a Lidl in Albox, which is about a 40 minute drive. On the last few days of our stay, we went more inland and found a Mercadona in Puerto Lumbreras, which is easier to get to - the roads being so much better. Laureano was available if we had any problems, and helped make our stay very comfortable, a real pleasure to meet. A renovated monastery - Hospederia Santuario is a 10 minute drive, for a fabulous meal, call first though, to check when open. Bowleria in Albox for bowling and food was great too. Mojacar has beaches and is just over an hour away - the sea was fabulously warm.

If you are looking for isolation then this is the place for you. We loved the peace and beauty of the surrounding area, you can park the car, lock the gates and be at peace with the world. It is a long drive to the nearest large town of Albox, so it is essential that you do your shopping prior to arrival. We didn't drive around a lot, so we never found out if there was a local shop to go to. The house, it's name translates to Once upon a time, didn't really reach to fairytale heights for us. At night there are lights which come on which helps to promote the fairytale nature. The house is full of everything you need, you just need to hunt into the array of cupboards to find it. Yes, its a bit of an adventure!. There are three bedrooms in the main house and a double in an annex to the summer kitchen. The master bedroom, we felt was a bit of a disappointment, the bed had two single mattresses on top of what seemed to be a double. You feel very precarious pearched on it. The owners suggested we use the annex bedroom, but that didn't work for us. On the outside, the patio surrounds the house on three sides and there are different places to sit and eat. We loved the opportunity to eat outside. The steps lead down to to pool and summer kitchen, We used the pool at lot. It's a very good size and the water cooled us down when we felt too hot. We didn't take the opportunity to use the summer kitchen with it griddle for barbecues. Overall, the house is an interesting one, with plenty of character. If the owners are seeking a fairytale destination, then its a work in progress. It needs more to make it so. Would we go again, then yes we would. The location is fantastic for solitude and views over the surrounding countryside. The owners require paperwork to be signed and returned. It's a bit onerous compared to other villas that we have booked using this site. Overall we had a very good week's holiday.
