About this apartment rental
An old porch of 90 square meters restored so as to maintain its original flavour. The old stone wall around the property forms the living room wall, which opens onto the garden with a panoramic window. A master bedroom and a double room, two bathrooms with shower, and the possibility of a sofa bed in the large living room make this apartment adequate for up to 6 people.
Le Chiusure is located in the oldest part of the village of Portese, right next to the ruins of the castle, with our vineyards and olive grove on the other side. An old stone wall surrounds the property and protects the privacy of those that choose to spend some time at our place. At the entrance two century-old mulberry trees and a small chapel built in the 1700s introduce you to the courtyard structured in the typical fashion of rural houses around the lake. The apartment has been recently restored and decorated in keeping with the style of the house. From the windows you can enjoy views of the surrounding hills, the garden and the inner courtyard. Our guests have at their disposal a large portion of the garden where they can eat in the evening or relax during the day. Le Chiusure is also a farm that produces high quality wines and olive oil. So it is the perfect place for wine lovers, a holiday between the vineyards and the beaches of Lake Garda.

We enjoyed the location and the flat very much. Communication with the hosts was easy and very pleasant. The place is charming. Wine tasting every Tuesday evening highly recommended, as well as the wine you can buy from the host. The location offers many possibilities: a walk to the Garda lake for bathing and boat trips; various restaurants; longer tours in the area. The garden invites to relax. The ambiente is tasteful, albeit a couple of more cups or bowls would make it easier for a family to enjoy meals, and more plugs would also help when all members of the family want to load their devises simultanously. Nevertheless, we highly recommend the place. We will surely visit again!

Le Chiusure is not just the perfect holiday location : it's a way of life, and it's a way of changing your life. You just don't come back "happy" from Le Chiusure : you come back with a new definition of happiness, and you want to share it with your friends, your family, all the persons you love. We stayed at Le Chiusure in July 2013, with our 1-year-old boy. We found there the taste of what Italy offers better : great landscapes, great food, great wine (made there by Alessandro), great people, and many many simple joys of everyday-life in a small authentic Italian village. We came there with no certainties; we come back home with the certainty we will go again to this place.

We stayed in the „Giardino“ appartment (family with two kids (2 years + 4 months)). Perfect for our purpose: apartment is at ground level, so we could drive our baby buggy easily into the apartment. We were also very happy to relax in the garden and erected our small paddling pool there for our daughter (ca. 1 diameter). The owners also live there and were very welcoming and helpful. The apartment is quite, huge and furnished with all necessities. The mattresses were the best we had ever had in a holiday flat. We stayed there when it was quite hot (35 C) for several days and the apartment was still acceptable warm/cold, so we had no problems sleeping. Worth mentioning is also “Charlie”, the cat: (mostly) did not run away when our two-year-old daughter saw him sitting somewhere and started her 10-20 meters run for him shouting loudly “I want to stroke Charlie”.
A small supermarket, a shop for newspapers (a huge variety of German newspapers is available there e.g. FAZ, Süddeutsche, Bunte), a café and a fruits/vegetable shop are nearby (2-3 minutes walk). The lake is also reachable by foot within a 15 minutes walk, but it is steep (too steep for our buggy).

We as a family with 4 children spent 14 very nice days in Le Chiusure 2. The apartment offers all we needed during our stay. If you miss something, you can ask the landlord and he will help you. We enjoyed the winetasting the landlord offers once a week. The beach can be reached by foot. In the near of San Felice there are enough occassion to visit. We can recommend Le Chiusure.
