La Ballena Cottage or “The Whale Cottage” is a charming oceanside home offering amazing panoramic ocean views and a private pool surrounded by pristine white sand. Built as a residence and brand-new to the rental market, this cottage is in impeccable condition with personal coastal touches that will make you feel right at home. Boasting over 2,400 square feet of living space, there is plenty of room for your whole family to maneuver comfortably. When you're ready to hit the beach, the Bismark Dr. beach access is just 0.2 miles (a short 3-minute walk) away.
Pull up to this gorgeous Corolla cottage and enjoy plenty of parking in the driveway for all your vehicles. Begin your relaxation by taking an afternoon nap in the hammock beneath the home. Out back, a large fenced-in pool deck area features an inviting private pool and plenty of chairs and pool loungers to make tanning poolside a breeze. After a long day on the beach, rinse off in the outdoor shower before heading inside. The first floor also includes a washer/dryer and leads you to the 2nd floor through a short staircase.
The majority of bedrooms are located on the main level of this home. Choose between 2 Queen Bedrooms—each with comfortable beds, beachy décor and plenty of natural sunlight. One of the Queen rooms includes a desk area perfect for remote working or remote learning! A third bedroom features a Double bed and the fourth bedroom is perfect for the kids containing a Pyramid Bunk bed. A second living area on this level features a Queen Sleeper Sofa for extra space and doubles as a great place to retreat with your favorite book. There are two full bathrooms conveniently located between the bedrooms, one with a tub/shower combo and the other with a shower only.
Another staircase leads to the 3rd floor with its spacious bedroom suite with TV and private bathroom with shower. We have been to many houses over the past 30 years and this one was has to have been the most thoughtful. All of the random "things" you don't think about were thought of. For example, there were kitchen towels! And the decks had gates. Just a couple of examples. These all seem simple but were much appreciated. And it was just nice home with great layout. My husband read in the book that home used to be a residence so maybe that had something to do with it. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Spacious on a big lot. Having the pool was nice, although it’s not heated. Close to many of the areas attractions and a 5 minute walk to the beach. Furniture is a little tired, there was a good layer of dust on some surfaces and baseboards, and the pool area had not been cleaned up.

Great location - the house was spacious enough that we could be together or have privacy. Multiple outside seating areas were appreciated. The beds were actually comfortable! The pool area was great.The downside - the dishwasher did not work the entire time we were there. We did not know it was broken - and filled it. When it wouldn't turn on - we called and were told there was a work order placed 7/1. Our stay was from 7/5 to 7/12. It would have been nice to know this before we filled the dishwasher. This was inconvenient - who wants to do dishes for 8 people on vacation??? It also smelled horrible when you opened it.
