Nestled among the trees, this property has breathtaking partial lake views and direct access to the scenic walking, biking, and snowshoeing trails of Echo Hills. Whether you're soaking in the wood-fired sauna, unwinding in the hot tub, or gathering around the firepit, this space is made for rest, connection, and time outdoors.
In winter, strap on your snowshoes, head to Hidden Valley for a day of skiing, or enjoy a nearby skate in Arrowhead, then cozy up by the fire or in the Muskoka room. Inside, you'll find over 2,300 sq. ft. of bright, open space with a fully equipped kitchen, games room, high-speed WiFi, air conditioning, and plenty of room to relax. IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR YOUR STAY
Please read the following details carefully before booking our cottage to be able to enjoy the place to the fullest
Pre-Check and Safety:
The primary guest will need to complete a Pre Check-in Rental Information Form on behalf of the group. This includes providing the ages of all guests, a full guest list, and a photo ID of primary renter to comply with the Lake of Bays STR Bylaws. The primary guest will also be required to sign a form upon arrival as we are a registered STR.
PETS: We allow pets with an additional cleaning fee. Please disclose any service animals upon booking so we can accommodate additional time for our cleaner, we do not charge a fee for service animals.
PESTS/SMALL ANIMALS: Please note that this property is located in cottage country so mosquitos, flies, and in rare cases, small wild animals (including turkeys, field mice, foxes, deer, etc..) could be seen in the area. We have taken preventative measures to ensure these pests do not enter the cottage but cannot guarantee that they enter the property. We ask that windows and doors should be closed when not in use to prevent pests from entering the cottage.
Minor Construction:
Our cottage is newly built and sits atop a hill overlooking the lake and the rest of the community. You may see some construction equipment on the way to the cottage and may hear distant construction noises from the other side of the hill during the afternoon. We have equipped the home with noise-proof windows and local laws ensure no construction during evenings and sleeping hours. You can be assured that your state will be peaceful.
Power Outages:
Rare but possible during severe weather. Typically, outages last a few hours, with the longest being a day. Please inform us if this occurs, and we will assist you promptly.
Winter:
Our private driveway is shoveled during winter, and the main road is plowed by the city. However, unpredictable Muskoka weather means you might need to shovel or use a snowblower. Be prepared for varying snow levels.
Other Things to Note:
Our hilltop location offers an amazing lake view but also has a steep drop. Please exercise caution when walking outside and watch your children.

We only stayed for one night with 6 people, but would have loved to stay longer to really enjoy the place. It was so spacious and had everything we needed. The rooms were incredibly spacious. The sauna was a nice highlight, safe and easy to use. The only downside was that there was construction going on on that street since it's a newly developed area, so there was some noise and roads half blocked from time to time, but honestly didn't affect our stay that much. Beautiful home with everything you would need!

My friends and I had an amazing experience at Hill Top Haven! The property was extremely clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. The check-in and check-out instructions were easy to follow and Khristel always responded promptly to any questions we had. Overall we had a great time and would come back again!
