Relais Pian Di Vico

This is such a charming, historical guesthouse with only a handful of rooms. The garden is very attractive , the pool was just lovely (plus we had it to ourselves for 2 days) - from it we saw European Bee-Eaters and swallows. The manageress spoke very little English but readily used Google translate. The room was lovely and everything was spotless. We were there for a wedding 15 mins drive away and had the best choice of accommodation compared to other guests staying in Tuscania- maybe even those staying at the Abbey wedding venue 😊

By its nature it is a drive rather than a walk away from town down a dusty lane but that is to be expected and what gives you the lovely view

Домакините бяха изключително мили и любезни. Даже ни настаниха в 21:00ч. Гледките и градината бяха уникални! Закуската беше много приятна. Басейнът беше много чист. Стаята беше много просторна

Вилата беше много далече, ако човек не е с кола, няма как. Ние ходихме да ядем/пазаруваме в най- близкия град. Нямаше хладилник в стаята, храната се съхраняваше в общ такъв на двора. Предлагаха кърпи за басейна само срещу заплащане от 5€. Домакините не знаеха английски. Смениха ни хавлиите в стаята, но не и чаршафите. Леглото не беше особено удобно

Very nice swimming pool and environment.

Too many strict rules and unreasonable policies. I won’t be staying here again. This is not a hotel-like accommodation, and their services don’t support a comfortable or pleasant stay. We ran into a major issue when we informed them that we needed to check in after 8:00 PM due to a delayed flight (we were in the area for a wedding). One of our colleagues had to pick up the keys for us because the owner only allowed check-in before 10:30 PM as an exception—and even then, he texted us saying we’d ‘have to sleep in our car’ if we arrived any later. While I understand their logistical constraints, the problems didn’t end there. The breakfast was underwhelming by Italian standards—very basic and limited. They charge €5 per day to rent a pool towel, and if you’re caught using a room towel instead, they scold you as if you committed a crime. Cleaning is done strictly at 10:30 AM—no exceptions. If you’re still in the room, they simply skip cleaning it. The worst part was checkout, which is at 11:00 AM sharp. We had work meetings that day and hoped to stay on the premises for a few more hours, but they wouldn’t allow it—not even to use a desk or sit somewhere. Using the pool after checkout is strictly forbidden. I even offered to pay extra to stay longer, but the most they allowed was an extra 5–10 minutes in the room, apologizing that the owners wouldn’t permit anything more and that this is against the law. What law exactly? One does not know. The entire experience was frustrating, and we couldn’t enjoy our stay as we’d hoped. I strongly suggest they reconsider their policies and improve their services to better accommodate guests.
