About this house rental
Ideal for mid-long term stays, this contemporary 2-bed, 1-bath apartment in Newbo, Czech, and Bohemia district offers convenience for traveling nurses and professionals. Steps away from The Bohemian, CSPS, Newbo City Market, and a 5-minute walk to Czech Village. Within a 10-minute drive to Cedar Rapids downtown,Unity point and Mercy Hospital &key attractions. Features a fully-equipped kitchen, laundry, high-speed internet, and Smart TVs, blending luxury with practicality for a comfortable stay.
Guests can enjoy their freedom to check-in and check-out easily with keyless entry. Although I will personally not be greeting you at the house, I will be happy to help with anything before, during and after your stay. I am easily accessible all times via the app, text and email. Located a block from Newbo Market and all the restaurants, bars and shops the area offers, 2 minutes from downtown, convenient to the area hospitals, bus station, I-380, many employers.
Guests have access to entire second floor (2 beds,1 bath) , except mechanical room. The first floor has a separate entrance and is a separate listing.

Pet Fee: A non-refundable fee of $200 per pet applies.
Pet Limit: A maximum of 2 pets are allowed.
More Than 2 Pets: If you plan to bring more than 2 pets, please contact us in advance. We’re happy to review requests on a case-by-case basis and may be able to accommodate additional pets with prior approval.
Propane tank: The propane tank is managed on an honor system, as usage levels can vary and it is not always possible to determine when it has run out. If a refill or exchange is needed during your stay, this can be conveniently done at any nearby gas station. Kindly retain the receipt and send it to us for reimbursement.
This home is professionally cleaned after each guest stay and offers a secure, upscale, and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re here for business, a weekend getaway, or an extended visit, the Kurik House provides the perfect balance of relaxation and accessibility. 💛
Bikes/Scooters: There are 3 Electric Bike and Scooter Rideshare stations within 5 min walking distance from the house. Download the Veoshare App to rent these
Walking: Most of the restaurants, events, bars and attractions are within walking distance.
Bus: The local bus stop is right outside the house which is great way to get to hospitals and other interest areas in the city.
Uber/Lyft is also available.

I am a picky person when it comes to cleanliness, and this place passed the test! Very clean. Pros: Cleanliness, location, easy parking, A/C was great, and it was spacious for 5 people. Cons: Kitchen is not well-stocked, pets can not be left unattended and you don't know that until you get the check-in information the day of, and blinds were broken in the bedroom and on the front door so you couldn't close them at all (that's a problem when people are changing in bedrooms) I would suggest the owners add that pets can not be left unattended in the listing info. Furniture is worn and cheap, but that didn't matter too much to me because the beds/mattresses were clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again. We ate a few times at the Newbo Market and Kismet Coffee shop - so close and easy to access!

Clean and spacious in a fun neighborhood, plenty of room for my family. Lots of outlets for charging, Roku tvs for streaming, and the kids loved the arcade cabinet. Great communication with hosts. We’d stay there again :)

We would gave the property 3 stars. The location is wonderful but the apartment could be more comfortable and functional. Here are my suggestions.The dishes are limited. At a minimum add wine glassesBlinds are not all working and are difficult to open and close.Bathroom towels: lots of bath towels but 1 hand towel is not enough.Main living area furniture is worn and not comfortable. Outside lights are continually going on and off.Only 3 hangars in the closet and the one bedroom has no hanging space.The grill is really worn and dirty.Window screens need repair. A few upgrades would make a huge difference.
