About this house rental
Ideal for mid-long term stays, this contemporary 2-bed, 1-bath apartment in Newbo, Czech, and Bohemia district offers convenience for traveling nurses and professionals. Steps away from The Bohemian, CSPS, Newbo City Market, and a 5-minute walk to Czech Village. Within a 10-minute drive to Cedar Rapids downtown,Unity point and Mercy Hospital &key attractions. Features a fully-equipped kitchen, laundry, high-speed internet, and Smart TVs, blending luxury with practicality for a comfortable stay.
Guests can enjoy their freedom to check-in and check-out easily with keyless entry. Although I will personally not be greeting you at the house, I will be happy to help with anything before, during and after your stay. I am easily accessible all times via the app, text and email. Bikes/Scooters: There are 3 Electric Bike and Scooter Rideshare stations within 5 min walking distance from the house. Download the Veoshare App to rent these

Bus: The local bus stop is right outside the house which is great way to get to hospitals and other interest areas in the city.

If you are a pet owner this property is listed as pet friendly but is really almost pet friendly. We had a three day drive to Cedar Rapids and 11 hours before we arrived we received an email with an extensive list of pet rules. Most were reasonable except the one that said pets shall not be left unattended at the property which basically means you cannot leave the property without taking your pet with you. We were told this was to keep noise down and for the safety of the pet. We explained to the hosts that we could not take our dogs to our son’s graduation or graduation dinners and that the extensive list of rules caught us off guard considering we were hours away from the property. We could not leave them in the car because of the heat. Luckily our dogs are crate trained and we were able to work out leaving the dogs at the property with the dog crate. Overall this property was pretty good. The host and communication were outstanding as is the eclectic and revitalized neighborhood. The furnishings of the property are more of a repurposed or reused collection of items and have seen some better days but as whole met our needs. We do like to prepare most of our meals and found the kitchen lacking a lot of items as well as a lot of mismatched cookware and china. The bathroom is not connected to any bedroom and is located on the front corner of the home. The bedrooms are located on the back corners. The size of the property does not lend itself to accommodating a dining table.

My sister and I loved this place! The location is perfect and there’s so many fun and interesting places within walking distance! Beds were super comfy and the bedding was excellent quality. We both had fun playing pac- man!

We were a little disappointed by the lack of dinnerware and cookware in the kitchen. None of the basics ie: salt, oil, dishwasher detergent were available. We tried to use the oven but when turning it on to preheat it was evident by the immediate smokiness that the oven was very dirty and we immediately turned it off. The bedrooms were nice but livingroom seating was sparse and uncomfortable, no dining table options. This is in a great location if you are looking for just a place to sleep and shower, unfortunately we like to cook and relax on our getaways. The hosts were very present with messaging and accessible.

We would gave the property 3 stars. The location is wonderful but the apartment could be more comfortable and functional. Here are my suggestions.The dishes are limited. At a minimum add wine glassesBlinds are not all working and are difficult to open and close.Bathroom towels: lots of bath towels but 1 hand towel is not enough.Main living area furniture is worn and not comfortable. Outside lights are continually going on and off.Only 3 hangars in the closet and the one bedroom has no hanging space.The grill is really worn and dirty.Window screens need repair. A few upgrades would make a huge difference.
