About this cottage rental

Relax on the Beach far from the madding crowd. Located directly on the pristine sandy beaches of Cayman kai, this cottage overlooks the turquoise waters of the Caribbean, with world class snorkelling directly off the shoreline in front of the property.

The property was designed in the classic Caymanian way, to allow as much of the gentle sea breeze to roll through the property cooling it beautifully, but there is AC should that take your preference.

The fully equipped kitchen (stove/oven/microwave/utensils) will allow you to create any dish you like, however all of the amenities, and restaurants of Rum point and the Kaibo are a 5 minute drive away.

Location was great if you wanted to be a bit further away from crowded areas (which we did).Beach here was a bit rough during our stay due to the weather (was calmer the week before our stay) so we didn't venture into the water here and did a couple of 30min drives and we checked out 7 Mile and Spotts easily. The cottage is perfect for a couple.Nice comfy Queen bed. Sofa bed while a good size for 2 people needed a new mattress as it was falling apart/coils were rusting (would up my review 1/2 star). The place is well equipped (French presses, moka pots) if for cooking/eating in for many meals (which I recommend as eating out is in Grand Cayman with the exchange rate). We had a scare the first couple of nights when my spouse thought someone was knocking on the door in the middle of the night - investigation in the morning led to it being a stuck icemaker that kept trying to rotate? We had a little bit of rain during our stay, and a couple of mosquitoes in. The doors/windows have screens on them but they are not exact fits so the little buggers can make their way in. Fitted screens would also bump up my review 1/2 star. The front and rear verandahs are screened but we noticed that the front one did have a tear in one of the sections, so this might be a concern later on in the rainier months. (don't leave any empty laundry bags out if it rains - shelter for 8-legged stingers).Host has assorted snorkel gear/fins and kayak oars to use with an available kayak.Great stay!!

This place was perfect for our family of 3. Our five year old stayed on the pullout and he enjoyed the amenities. The beach was small but there is a beach for all to enjoy when the easterly winds are calm. The snorkeling was great and abundant with life including barracuda lobsters mutton snappers and saw one juvenile parrot fish. The views are the best and the screened in porch was great when eating meals at the house. Rum point is a quick 2 min drive and we spent a lot of time there and Kaibo and also went to starfish point as well. Missed out on the bio illuminescence tour but always next time. You could walk the road to rum point but you’ll have to have a car if staying here. The grocery store down the road was convenient as well. Check in easy and Benjamin was very responsive. Great stay!

Awesome spot on the quiet side of the island - great for rest and relaxation. 7 mile beach is less than an hour away which made it easy for some day trips to that side. Close to crystal caves, botanical gardens and rum point. Super clean, host was amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the host and the property!
