About this apartment rental
Quiet apartment on the outskirts of Detmold with a beautiful view of the Lipperland, nevertheless only a few minutes by car to the city center of Detmold and the Detmold sights such. B. the Hermann Monument.
The apartment is in a very quiet area, is big enough (approx. 70 m²) and offers overnight accommodation for up to 4 people (double bed 1.80 m wide and sofa bed 1.25 m wide). Especially recently renovated, we put a lot of emphasis on making the apartment as comfortable and cozy as possible. The large balcony invites you to have a coffee, have a barbecue or sunbathe in any season.
A high chair and a travel cot are available free of charge for families with small children. The children are also welcome to use our garden, where a large sandpit, a swing, a slide and a trampoline are waiting to be "played on".
In the well-equipped kitchen (stove, oven, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, microwave, egg cooker and hand blender) our guests will find a basic stock of food (coffee, tea, salt, pepper, sugar, ...) so that you don't bring or get everything.

Place was bigger than I expected, but pics are accurate. Beautiful balcony views & peaceful stay. Enjoyed the snacks left for us after a long travel day. Very clean & great location to get away, yet close to drive to restaurants and other local towns. Would definitely recommend!

We have had a fantastic week in the Owl's nest. Very nice hosts, very helpful also. The area is beautiful and there is enough to explore around the area (The exsternsteine, Hermanndenkmall, Wewelsburg and some nice city's to go to with our teenager. Nature is also great in this area, a lot of beautifull forests). We have had a wonderfull time here. The house is big, clean, and everything that you need is there + extra! The accomodation has the most fantastic views and beautifull sunsets. We have made a lot of pictures ;-)
So yes, don't think twice and book your vacation here! We did, and we have enjoyed it very (very!) much!

OWL's nest was an amazing place for our family. The hosts are friendly people who love travelling themselves. The "Nest" itself is really spacious (living room), clean and the attention to detail is great. There's absolutely nothing you'll miss and we were warmly received with home made delicacies and Detmold beer. The bathroom and kitchen are on the smaller side but are cozy and the bathroom especially is modern and clean, great shower too. The bedroom is clean and spacious and there's even an emergency kit for medical needs, there is a children's bed and chair, and in the living room the big sofa can be turned into a large bed. The apartment is very family-friendly and also the garden (with sandbox, slide, trampoline) is very children-friendly (though we were often out visiting places). Around Detmold there's lots to do, from the Hermann Denkmal to the Open Air Museum to palaces or a small zoo, we also made a day trip to Paderborn. All in all OWL'nest is the place to be for your (family) trip to this area!

Just perfect... we can only strongly recommend it.
The young owners are extremely nice people. They welcome us very warmly, including local beers, apples and muffins, as well as a helpful information book.
The appartment has a terrific view and is located in a peaceful landscape, but still very cose to downtown. It has a beautiful balcony. The rooms are decorated with good taste and the small kitchen has everything needed to cook.
We are looking forward to a new trip next spring or summer.
