Charming Yacht on Catskill Creek

This was our second time staying on the boat. Everything far exceeded our expectations. It is better than staying at a hotel.

This charming 'yacht' perhaps was a bit oversold by the title. The boat was very clean. The marina it was in felt safe and everybody was very friendly. There was a shower room at the marina if you wanted to shower in a bigger space than what the boat offered. (Imagine showering in a phonebooth with a toilet and sink in there.) We loved sitting out on the boat at night as the sun was setting. It was very peaceful. As far as what the word "yacht" envokes in a person's mind, this didn't necessarily meet that expectation; however, it was a very fun experience and the owners Melissa and AJ were very responsive and easy to work with. The town of Catskill is cute with lots of fun window shops, restaurants and cafes all within walking distance from the marina. I do highly recommend staying here. Just know you're staying on a boat that has a sleeping area.

We had never stayed overnight on a boat before and were a little nervous. Now we can't wait to stay on one again! Melissa and AJ were so accommodating and extremely nice....perfect place to stay if seeing a concert at Catskill Point. They dropped us off at concert and picked us up on pontoon - how fun is that? To wake up to a sunny and serene morning while having coffee on the creek was priceless. I never do reviews but felt compelled to do this one only because if you are having reservations about staying on a boat - just do it! Many thanks to Melissa and AJ!

Melissa was an awesome communicator and very informative of the area. It was a pleasure talking with her. The boat was an excellent choice, very relaxing and well discribed on VRBO. Also, the resurant at the marina was great, with good food and a nice bar. Overall, great stay!
