About this house rental
Tucked into the woods of Round Pond, one of Maine's most beloved working harbor villages, The Round Pond Getaway at Moxie Cove is your base for the best of Midcoast Maine. Walk five minutes to the water, spend evenings around the fire pit, and wake up to nothing but birdsong on the screened porch. Pemaquid Lighthouse, fresh lobster at Muscongus Bay, and the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens are all within easy reach.
The space:
The house is bright and thoughtfully stocked. There are windows on three sides of the living room, a fully updated kitchen with all new appliances, and enough space for a group of six to be together or find their own corner. Upstairs are three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Downstairs, the screened porch opens to a big yard perfect for badminton, frisbee, and wiffle ball, and one genuinely great fire pit.
We've had this house in our family since 2003 and we take care of it like it. You'll find it spotless, well-stocked, and full of little extras you didn't know you needed. We also leave a little welcome basket stocked with pasta, sauce, snacks, and a few surprises to get your stay off to a great start.

The whole house is yours. The basement and fireplace are the only off-limits areas.

Charming and comfortable house in a beautiful wooded setting. Spotlessly clean and thoughtfully provided with everything we might need. We enjoyed nearby hiking trails along the coast, lobster shack dinners, a trip to Monhegan Island, fun shopping, and the beach, as well as peaceful breakfasts on the screened porch and cookouts at the house. Check-in and check-out were about as easy as it gets, and Emily was lovely to communicate with. We had a blast – highly recommend this place!

The house was super clean, and beds were comfortable. We really appreciated all the space, and comfy furniture for all shapes and sizes. The TV is huge!! It was great for movie nights. The kitchen has all the basic tools, and even more--with a blender and food processor. My only critique (a minor one) is that there weren't any chopsticks, but that's no deal breaker! Love that there's some outdoor gear and board games. It's a family and pet friendly home.

A stellar property. We stayed over the long weekend, 3 adults, 2 children ages 4 and 2, and a dog. Everything about this home is top notch and easy to use. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, plenty of room for dining, a lovely yard for the kids and dog to burn off energy. The home is beautifully decorated without being “stuffy”, and all the appliances were easy to figure out. Highly recommend!
