About this house rental
Decades ago, Marilyn, a retired dancer and 1950's founder of a dance school had a dream of building her "Swedish Fantasy House" on a hilltop.

This is an unique beautiful offering and the house is not like any where else you might stay because of its finishing touches, painting and charm. The rooms, linens and space was very much ready for us to enjoy. There is plenty of space for a family to move about in. Its enchanting! One of a kind. The not so great issues were we tried to contact the property manager via the numbers provided and received no answer twice. For the price point the sofas were terribly stained (even a grandchild noticed) and not acceptable. The grounds outdoors have become very overgrown, deteriorated walls and sitting outdoors is not really accessible with furnishings, etc. There are a few cracks in the butcher board countertop near the sink which might make the dish area not as sanitary although the sink was clean and ready for us. I grew up very near to this location and was renting for my Mother's funeral so it was close and convenient as you might recall. However, my sister and family rented another rental in LaCrosse also nearby that you manage and own and she received a discount because of bereavement. In conclusion, we would say stay, but a few updates and repairs need to be added for 600.00 nightly.

Inside of house as expected, unique. Very clean and comfortable beds. We did not expect the driveway to be so steep and difficult to access. The listing showed a pond but not sure where that was located. Consider adding more eating utensils please. Thanks for sharing your home.

We stayed at this beautiful home in the bluffs for our high school boys State Ice Fishing Tournament. Everything was amazing, beautiful, clean and beautifully decorated. Highly recommended!

It was perfect for our family, as we needed a location close to Mt. LaCrosse for a wedding. It has easy access to the downtown LaCrosse sights.
